This business has a ton of wigs, hair pieces, and assorted wig supplies in stock. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the prices are reasonable.

Some of the worst customers service I have received the the management is rude and unhelpful. I had shopped there for year but between the quality of hair going down and the price going up and the worst customer service I have ever received I will never purchase hair from them again nor refer any of my clients there

BUYERS BEWARE of Abantu!!!!!
Abantu has the worst products, at the most expensive prices, and they have terribly unhelpful and condensing staff, including the "owner" Mark Okoth.

The hair is not real although they claim it is, its plastic. Tangles 1000x a day, losing hair all day by brushing the tangled rats nest out.\

Extremely bad and disrespectful customer service.
I have had weave hair extensions for many years and was told to go to Abantu instead of my usual place because it might be a bit cheaper.
I walked in, told them exactly what I was looking for, the lady showed me three different types ranging from $200 - $275. I asked what the difference was and she responded with they are all about the same. I explained that I wash my hair everyday and treat my extension like my own hair (very good). She said the cheaper was should be just fine then. With hesitation I bought the hair (my appointment was the next day).
I went to my hair dresser the next day and she put them and we both noticed how thin the hair was. She ended up doubling up on both rows. We've never had to do that before.
Within in the week the hair was falling out, tangled and VERY dry. I would say I lost about half the hair in the extensions over two weeks. I would also have to brush the extensions about 20 times a day because it was SOOO tangled.
I spoke with my hair dresser and she said I should call them. I called and explained everything to the Manager. She was very short and condescending with me. Told me I can only wash the hair twice a week and "have I ever heard of dry shampoo". Her only solution and this was her last resort, was for me to come into the store and for them to take a clipping of the hair from my head and then they would send that to manufacture and then MAYBE I would get a store credit.
I, of course did not go back in, as there was no way I would ever shop at this store again. I then bought new hair from a very helpful and informative place and have never been happier with the hair I purchased.response / report this review -

Horrible customer service the manager will speak to you like she is challenging you to a competition of know it all instead of answering your questions like a polite person in customer service . She talks down to you like your an idiot and not once or twice four times in a row to the point I will never spend money there ever again I will stick to the far better customer service I get online to Koreans that don't even speak English they are twenty times more polite then this woman and her staff !! Also he quality or the hair and the price inflation in the last three years I'm surprised they are still in business at all the crap and they never have the things you actually need you have to settle for something you didn't want if convenient product to do your hair or a customer right away and can't wait for internet orders . They had a transgender woman there she was the only reason I shopped there at all after so many bad experiences but then they fired her and they might as well post the out of business sign now

the hair i got was quite expensive, i bought it thinking it would last a long time. but after a week, it started to deteriorate. the hair is very expensive for the quality.

I did like the store at first. But I dont know too much about wigs, I also have a disability and they used that to rip off $106.00 for a wig that I cant even use. I went to my friend thinking I could get a weave. But when she saw the clips she said I couldnt do it. And to top it off, I can't even get a refund so I can get the proper wig. Im NEVER going to get a wig at this place again.

The wig in the floor was much better quality than the wig I purchased and brought home. Would not reccomend to anyone, as there are better, more quality wigs stores online that offer a much better quality wig for the same price.
