For having the Mercato name I would be embarrassed. Stopped in at 8pm on a Saturday night, seated immediately in a 2/3 full restaurant. Server quickly came over to greet and take drink order. Returned promptly asking if we were ready to order food. When we stated we would be having an appetizer then skipping straight to dessert, she took our order and did not come back for at least 30 minutes. Another waiter brought our appetizer. Our waitress finally came back after our bruschetta (which was delicious) plates were sitting empty and pushed to the side for 15 minutes. Brought a dessert menu 10 minutes later, and again we waited 15 minutes for her to return to take the order. The cheesecake was to die for, The only reason I would return.

Our table for 2, ordered an appetizer, a dessert and coffee - and we were seated at the restaurant for 1 hour 40 minutes.

As the paying customer, whether I am there for a full 4 course dinner, or a small late night bite, I should not feel as though you are ignoring us now that you know your tip will not be as big as the table for 4 next to us.

First time ever trying the West location, will never return, and would not reccomend to anyone. We will from now on go out of our way to the downtown Mission location, as we have NEVER been disappointed there.

Delicious. Family style restaurant on one side and deli/pizzeria/restaurant on the other. Been several times. Also kid friendly.

My wife and I found the atmosphere quite nice but the food was underwhelming and slightly overpriced. We ordered a Caesar salad and instead of lettuce, it was made with kale which we both disliked very much
Our entrees were good but far from great. For us, it was just ok.

Wonderful family dinner last night! Food was amazing! Service attentive without being intrusive! We love going to Mercato West for the food, great wine, which is unique to Mercato West, and for the wonderful atmosphere!
