Went here for dinner. I had a starter of steamed mussels, and the rib eye steak for an entree. My girlfriend had the prime rib. Everything tasted amazing. The steak melted in my mouth and was cooked perfectly. My girlfriends prime rib was also delicious with great Yorkshire pudding. For desert we had a pineapple cheesecake which was a perfect light finish to the meal. The service was great, and the atmosphere was very comfortable. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Read online that they were vegan friendly. They don't even have milk alternatives. I was able to eat 1 item on the menu. The non-vegan friends I was with were not overly impressed either. I wouldn't go back. Too busy and over hyped

My wife and I stopped in for lunch and loved the atmosphere!

Our server was friendly and attentive despite being busy.

My wife had the tuna salad sandwich on rye and I enjoyed a Caesar salad. Everything tasted just fine and nothing stood out (positively or negatively).

We would be willing to come back and try a steak dinner sometime to give the menu a more thorough test drive.

    Absolutely worth the visit.

I ordered medium rare for my Filet and I got a medium well. My friend ordered medium but got a well-done
The beef meat was fine but just totally not the way we wanted it to be cooked. We were too hungry to argue for that. But the waiters didn’t ask us how’s the meal during the whole meal.
The atmosphere was nice though, just be careful about your steak.

Melissa's has never let me down yet! I have come here numerous times over the years and it has been consistantly been a reliable dining choice. Apart from great food and service I also like that it is off the busy main strip! During the day we got in and out quickly.

I wanted medium rare, got medium well. My friend got a 10 oz, I got a 12 oz, but its the same size. My friend got the beef stroganoff that tasted really bland. The butter tasted really good along with the sauteed mushrooms. Caesar salad had no flavour. Calamari was decent. There's a lot of inconsistencies with our order. Not really happy.

Unfortunately poor service, 2 stars only for the food.

I went there at lunch time alone and the servant did not even cared to ask any smalltalk polite phrases. I observed how she went to other tables with more people and she was all small talk politely phrases. When I got served coffee she did not even once asked if I wanted water or anything else nor a refill when I emptied my coffee. Very disappointing. She did not even deserved tip.

They treat people differently when you are alone. So much disrespect. Unbelievable.

Nice place. But not many vegetarian options. Have only a couple of them. The person who waited on us was very nice. 5 star for him. But, I don't think this place is kid friendly. My daughter who is 2.5 yrs old was quite slow in finishing her pancakes ( yummy ones ) and sure we got some glances because of that. Understand that there were people waiting. But, you can't expect kids to eat as quickly as the adults. The place is located in a nice setting.

Disgusting server, extremely rude and racist.
Better educate your employee. Shame for your business.

    Asked for water, ignored.
Walked away while we were putting an order.
Delivered food without manner, slammed plates&cups on the table.
Tried to taking plates away while I was eating without asking any.
    Food was cold-pizza & stake.

    Absolutely unprofessional and under-educated.

Since I wrote the review they are so busy defending themselves, yet no genuine apology.

Please spend more time to educate your workers proper manner instead of wasting your time to delete all negative truthful reviews.

***update Aug. 1 2017, some reason my review on yelp, facebook, and trip advisor is keep getting deleted just after they replied what a coincidence!*** They also replied my review saying that they want me to contact their manager and they would never treat guests differently by color or language but after I read through many previous reviews it is absolutely not true***

I won't give up until they realize how awful some of their workers are and either fire them or training them properly

Usually very busy on the weekends at all hours so the best time to go is during the week if possible. Went there with my little one on a Wednesday for breakfast and the experience was great. I ordered the Smoked Salmon eggs Benedict and scrambled eggs for the little one and it was terrific. The salmon tasted great, the packed eggs were done medium and the hollandaise sauce was terrific. My waitress was very nice. This is a family friendly restaurant with high chairs and room for a medium size stroller so don't hesitate to go if you have a little one in tow. The atmosphere is great. Regular locals come to it and so do tourists. It has a warm chalet feel and the inside is fantastic. Definitely will come here again to try their steak!

Had breakfast there this morning and the apple pancake was amazing! Tasted like beaver tail.
However, if you ask for medium poached egg, you will still get soft eggs so if you cant eat runny eggs, just ask for well done. My girlfriend had to send her egg Benedict's back twice!

Great service and tasty food. The limited time Groupon made this restaurant a must go, but even without a Groupon I would strongly consider going back. A+

This place has been a long time staple of mine when visiting and living in Banff for nearly 20 years. Whether you head to the family style diner downstairs or head to the pub upstairs you're guaranteed to find what you want to eat & drink. Make sure to try the amazingly creative various Eggs Benedict dishes they have & why not with one of their spicy Caesars made with vodka from a local distillery.

The food was good. Loved the buildings atmosphere. Out oldest is 9. We were eating there as a family, and it is the best service we've ever had eating out as a family. Period. Thankyou to Maris(sp?) who waited on us.
