15 sessions in 6 days, no doubt it’s been my busiest week to date. So grateful for all your interest and support. I seriously feel like the luckiest girl in the world I get to call this my job 🙌🏼 Also, I don’t think there was ever a more accurate sweatshirt to describe my current state 😂 Hands up if you feel like you need this in your life 🙋🏼♀️

Anyone getting their tree this weekend? It looks like it will be gorgeous with snow in the forecast! If you plan on going to @treelanefarms I might see you there!! Getting our tree is one of my favourite Christmas traditions. Love spending the day at the farm with family, having our lunch around the fire and picking the perfect tree for us! So much fun today doing a collaboration shoot with @zinkmade and @lauraferrarimua ❤️ Had the best time hanging with the sweetest boss babes today! My little ones tagged along unexpectedly as well today and it was so amazing to see how they were welcomed with so much love, grace and understanding! It’s truly a beautiful thing when moms support each other ❤️

Anyone else’s morning look like this?? I have to admit that the snowy season isn’t my favourite, but the kids LOVE it!! It was hard to keep them inside until after breakfast. Their pure joy and excitement totally rubs off though. Although instead of playing in the snow, it looks more like cozying up with a bowl of soup and the @magnolia journal (current situation 🙌🏼). After a crazy year with lots of challenges and solo parenting, I plan on fully embracing the calm that winter brings. So excited about spending lots of quality time with the family and lots of time following photography passions! Other than the holidays, what are you excited for this winter?

Going through all your images has me like 😍😭❤️ Trying to select some to print and hang in my booth at @themodernmomshow and I love this one. I totally have a weak spot for newborn lifestyle sessions, no matter how chaotic they can be, they are always full of love and connection! The hands, the initial necklace, the soft touch, the little frown, the fluffy hairs 😍Finding love and connection will always be my number 1 priority in any photo session! Who else agrees that this one should be printed and put up at the show?!

Flying through fall like I can’t believe it’s November already! Anyone entered Christmas mode yet? Usually this is when things quiet down for me with photography, but we have so many exciting things happening this month! Mini sessions next weekend (2 spots left! Message me if you want in), The Modern Mom Show (new adventures and couldn’t be more excited!) and lots of collaboration with other awesome local business 💗 so grateful!! For now, a day off, spending time with my family and trying to catch up on editing. What are you up to this weekend?

Thinking back of last night when Halloween was still cute and eating all the treats seemed like a good idea! Definitely paying the price for that today (see IG stories), but still had a great time with my unicorn and improvised Spirit rider. May the force be with all moms and teachers today 🙏🏼 PS. Swipe right and see why I’m getting us all in costumes with wigs next year 😂 PPS. I promise this is my last Halloween post, keep an eye out for something exciting launching tonight!! #halloween2018

Yesterday’s workshop was so good again guys!!! Seriously the best time hanging out with an awesome group of ladies for the afternoon. Can you believe most of these ladies didn’t know any of the functions/buttons on their camera and were able to shoot in manual mode after they left the workshop?! No joke!! To all the participants, thank you so much for making the workshop such a success ❤️ And a special thank you to the beautiful @nungyloves and her bump for modelling for us! Did you know that the next workshop is already scheduled for February?! We’re launching the tickets at the @themodernmomshow on November 23-24 and the workshop will be held at the @overcollective 🙌🏼 I CAN’T WAIT!!

October has been one big balancing act. Daddy is finally back with us, we went on a road trip, we’re doing renos, a record amount of photo sessions, the upcoming workshop it’s been full. Lots of really great things and lots of emotions. Especially from my girl, who is usually hard to shake. She’s been having a tough time adjusting to school, especially since daddy is back she does not want to leave the pack. And I totally get it. It’s been a fight to get her to go in for those two days a week. I feel like change is needed, I just haven’t figured out what is best for us yet. We could just stick it out and see if she adjusts to everything when all returns to normal again, we could try half days, or just homeschool all the way for the rest of this year 🤷🏼♀️ Any of your kiddos struggling with school? What do you do to help them feel confident and secure? ❤️

What a fabulous experience I had with Marit of MAR Portraits for my recent professional head shots. I had never done this before and was happy that Marit prepared me beforehand so I knew what to expect. Elissa from Darling Makeup and Hair spent time getting my hair and makeup ready for the photos. Both Marit and Elissa knew the right questions to ask to get to know me personally and to get to know what I was expecting from the photos. Elissa chose the right colours and the right hair style, I absolutely loved my hair and makeup. Marit helped me decide on my outfits I brought and really directed and positioned me well for my photos. Marit is a fabulous photographer, she made me feel at ease and relaxed so I could be natural in the photos. It was a lot of fun and I highly recommend MAR Portraits for your professional photos.

Where do I begin! Mar is so amazing at what she does. I had my boudoir shoot on Saturday. Needless to say I was super nervous! But Mar was so amazing at calming me down and making feel like a total babe! Something I haven't felt in a long time. Thank you so much for this experience. I can't wait to see the pictures ��

I really had no expectations coming in but a few insecurities about myself that I addressed with Mar and Elissa. They were so wonderful and took my considerations seriously but above all so fun to work with! I gave them all the creative freedom they wanted, listened to everything Mar told me to do and completely surrendered myself to the process. It was an INCREDIBLE experience. These two ladies are THE BEST in the business. Hands down, I'd refer them over and over again! WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Marit is amazing to work with, no one makes you feel as comfortable and pretty in front of a camera like she does. It has been a true pleasure (and honour) to get my photos taken by her. I certainly recommend MAR Portraits to anyone looking for a photographer.

Marit is a true professional; her talent will blow you away, and you will feel comfortable and confident in front of her lens. She has a fantastic eye for capturing candid moments, which I love!
