Finally went in with some friends! The decor is gorgeous, you can tell a lot of work went into the aesthetic of Los Lobos.

Our server didn’t give us his name which is probably good, because he had no personality and left without telling us he transferred us to another server. And then the server that we were transferred to didn’t come see us until it was time to pay the bill - when we had to get up and find someone because our server disappeared. As a table of servers, we were a little disappointed as far as table service goes.

The food was good, but for the price I expected better. The guacamole starter we had was pretty tasty. The Sweet Potato taco was yummy and had a great combination of flavours.

The Scallop taco was soggy and fell apart on my first bite and had more cabbage than I needed. Wouldn’t recommend that one, but there are many others to choose from.

The saving grace was the Cucumber Cilantro Margarita. Matty seriously made the best margarita I’ve ever had and was A+ for service. So. Friggin. Good.

4 stars for the margarita and Matty!

I visited Los Lobos a few months ago and had a great experience. I loved the beef cheek large plate, and was very excited to order it again this week. However, they've changed their menu but have not posted it anywhere online. There are no more large plates, and the selection of tacos and burritos has also changed from what is currently posted on Facebook. I tried the beef cheek, pork belly, and blackened fish taco instead. Beef cheek was tasty (really wish I could have gotten a large plate!), pork belly was good, but the blackened fish was somewhat overcooked, and lacked the crispy crust I expect from blackened fish. Churros for dessert were also oddly over- and under-cooked - a little too crispy on the outside, a little too doughy on the inside. Food was satisfactory overall, but I won't be returning any time soon.

    LOS LOBOS in London, Onterrible.

Los Lobos (Spanish for "The Wolves") is the brain child of Gregg Wolfe (a former night club manager) and his brother Justin, former singer for the acclaimed London metal outfit Thine Eyes Bleed who previously toured the continent with thrash legends Slayer.

The 'Wolfe Pack" as they're sometimes referred to may have left the music industry but they've brought a worldly sense of showmanship to the restaurant industry. Every inch of Los Lobos is meticulously designed with Day of the Dead iconography and the food is off the chain. It's like Disney World for Mexican grub.

It's the Wolfe Pack's fourth venue. They also own the Nite Owl bar, the Early Bird diner and the Wolfe of Wortley which was recently voted as one of Canada's best new joints in Restaurant magazine.

If you love Mexican food and you live in London, Onterrible or just happen to be passing through, this is an essential destination point. It's gonna be hard for me not to go there when I visit, not that I visit London, Onterrible an awful lot these days. But that may have to change now.

Visited there a few days ago for the first time. Food was pretty good except for the soft tacos, which were a bit tough. Offsetting that was the guacamole which was some of the best I've ever had. Unfortunately there was a lack of Mexican beer.. no Corona on tap and they had run out of Tecate. A Mexican restaurant with no Mexican beer ?? Otherwise, the place has potential and I'll give it another try soon.

i could bypass the bland tacos, but our server was HORRIBLE. i get that people have bad days. i totally understand, as someone who has been in the hospitality industry before. but what she lacked in organizational skills and charm, she compensated with her curt demeanour and obvious eye rolling. i also don’t understand why she didn’t inform us of a surcharge with condiments; which if you ask me, charging for hot sauce at a mexican restaurant is incomprehensible and unnecessary.

also, asking us to go with her to the POS system to tell her again what we ordered for billing so she doesn’t make a mistake is asinine. come on.

After hearing rave reviews from fellow foodies, I finally had the opportunity to stop by Los Lobos and enjoyed a nice dinner.

The fresh nachos with red salsa was an ideal appetizer, but the Enchiladas featuring the green salsa was the undeniable stand out. Very flavourful.

The only minor disappointment was the Sweet Potato taco that presented a slightly strange flavour combination.

Overall, it was a pleasant but pricey first experience.

If you’re looking for solid Mexican dishes and willingly to pay for the unique experience, then I highly recommend Los Lobos.

Love this place! The service on the patio wasn’t great. She had too many tables. A bit slow. Service inside before was great. Recommend this place to all!

Let's start from the begining: the facade of the place looks sober and inviting, a modest sign indicating the name "Los Lobos" is just a hint of what you find inside.

As you enter you encounter a mesmerizing decoration that evokes Mexican gangster dia de muertos, colorful and comfortable. Then, the service didn't disappoint at all, friendly and quick, Christa told us she was there for a couple of days but she seemed pretty comfortable and secure, like she has been doing it for years now. The menu is clear, straight forward and satisfying to read: Mexican/Central American hand food in its best expression. We had 6 varieties of tacos, all were great, perfect size and excellent flavor; the hot sauce is smoking hot but a good companion. Now, the margaritas are wonderful and the ambient music surrounding each sip from the straw took me somewhere between LA and Baja California.

In general, you need come and enjoy it yourself, I'll give it 6 stars!

PS. the Pork Belly taco is a MUST!

Los Lobos is unreal!!! I've had tacos I'm Mexico and they didn't even come close to as tasty as Los Lobos tacos! The vibe is amazing, the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable, and we are vegan and were able to enjoy an awesome vegan meal without any flavour being compromised! I highly recommend this chill spot for anyone who loves great food and great service!

Probably one of the best meals I’ve had. We had Belly Tacos, Chicken Tacos, Cod Tacos, Cauliflower Queso, and the Stuffed Jalapeños (those last two have fancy names that I can’t remember). I picked it up and brought it home to enjoy; the food was fresh and hot and the tacos were beautifully constructed (despite being a takeout order). The quality of ingredients, menu creativity, and price were all excellent. I will definitely visit again.

I usually don't take the time to write but after a great personal testimony from my parents (who had visited a few days before) my boyfriend and I decided to try it out too! We were very impressed with both the service and the food. We tried many things on the menu and everything surpassed expectations however, the things that stood out to us the most was the scallop taco, pork belly taco and the beef cheek entree. Seriously some of the freshest and most flavourful food I've had in London! We will definitely be coming back!!!

we finally made it to los lobos and I’m just sad we didn’t go sooner.

the food was incredible, I highly suggest the pork belly taco!

the service was exceptional- I think his name is matty? (served us at Wolfe of Wortley a couple times) he always goes above and beyond.

we sat at the community table- HOW FUN!

we met some new friends and chit chatted about how delicious everything was and recommended to the new people who sat down!

    can’t wait to come back.

My husband and I went to Los Lobos for the first time last night, and we were so impressed I felt compelled to write a review. As a couple who choose different ways of eating, we were both really impressed by the variety for vegans and meat eaters alike. The atmosphere was rad, the booth seating for the majority of tables allowed us to have a conversation while enjoying the music and the whole vibe of the place, and most importantly - the food and drinks were exceptional. I haven't had such a good margarita like that before - I had the grapefruit and my husband had the lime margarita and they were both made with fresh ingredients, with the flavoring of fresh juice and premium tequila - clean and delicious, not like the sugar overload / chemical tasting ones that some other joints serve up. The food that followed was again, not like anything I have had before at a Mexican or Mexican inspired restaurant - perfect tapas sized portions for sharing, fresh and delicious flavor on all the vegan tacos (definitely try the califlower - so good) and my husband just raved over the meat options. The pineapple pico and the refried beans were again just so fresh and delicious. This is not a greasy overly deep fried food establishment. You can immediately appreciate the careful work and talent that went into the making of this delicious food and drink menu. We were impressed by the price point and the reasonable bill at the end of our evening, and we will definitely be back. Thanks for the excellent food and drink, Los Lobos. I knew the restaurant owners and innovators Justin and Gregg many moons ago and am so happy for them and their families. This place is excellent, folks. Well done and thanks again!
