Excellent value for what you get see along the way. Even saw 3 humpback whales on our way to Bamfield and on the way back.

Sailed from Bamfield to Port Alberni and had the nicest time on the ferry. Beautiful views of mountains great weather and even a few animal sightings. Would highly recommend it over driving between the two spots.

Excellent trip highly suggested to anyone. Whether you've lived here your whole life or you just got here I suggest taking this trip. The price point is amazing for what you get to see and do.

Too expensive to get to a location that's overrated. Boat is very slow, over 4 hours to get to Bamfield. Turnover time is one hour but there's nothing to do in that time except get an ice cream cone and wait. You can't even get to Brady's beach in time to enjoy it.

I was on the Bamfield trip years back when MV Lady Rose just went out of commission and the Frances Barkley took over. The day trip was awesome it was a perfect day for summer and brought a picnic lunch. I would recommend any one who likes sight seeing enjoy the ride!!! My son and his class and 2 other classes from Wood Elementary left this morning and return Thursday around 5pm 😊 Hoping they all have a great time!!!!

What a fantastic little day trip. Take the Lady Rose out to Bamfield and drop off points between, some private residence sending or receiving goods and merchandise.Visit Nahmint for a short stop to unload cargo and then off to Kildonan Post office, drop off some locals and head to our last stop Bamfield to drop off some local passengers and more cargo.Walk to Brady's Beach,it's close, you will like the walk through Bamfield. We were lucky and had nice sunny weather.

My wife and I live on the Island - Qualicum Bay - have our own 30 foot boat to get out into the Broughton Islands and beyond - BUT, we make the run out on the Frances Barkley - 2 or - - - 3 times a year! We're about to make the overnight trip to Sechart Lodge - - - the Alberni Inlet, Bamfield, the Broken Islands - - - you can NEVER get tired of it! The crew of the Frances Barkley treat you like family.
