I've always enjoyed eating at Kinjo on Macleod but we did not enjoy our lunch here. Kinjo has never been the best sushi but it's always been good enough at a decent price. For lunch, I usually prefer to order a quick combo but we were told the combos were for takeout only, which is a strange limitation. So we ordered some pieces and a few rolls. The rolls were sloppy and seemed like they had been sitting around for a while. They may have been made to order but they just weren't good. The person I was with is a big fan of Alberta rolls so we ordered one and the beef was dry and overcooked and almost flavourless. I wouldn't normally judge a sushi place on that type of roll but in this case it's the best example of the quality we encountered.

Food is always good and the service is top notch. They're fantastic with kids and go out of their way to make them feel welcome. Our food comes quickly and we barely leave crumbs.

Delicious food. Respectful and prompt service. Great for kids and families. Spacious booths. Highly recommend this for groups or an intimate dining experience.

A staple in Calgary for sushi. If you've been here you know what you're in for. Good sushi, friendly atmosphere and some teasing from the staff. If you're lucky, Kinjo himself will force you to sing to your wife or girlfriend, or perhaps you must declare your admiration for someone else in your group.
The shy had better beware and keep his or her celebrations secret, because at Kinjo's they will take any opportunity to make your celebration special and loud.
Also, you always get box off Pocky at the end which is always a nice bonus.response / report this review -

The quality of the food was great. It was the fastest service we have ever experienced. The staff was second to none. They made our visit a wonderful experience. It is a very family orientated restaurant. We will be back again.

Cannot describe how excellent the service, speed, and professionalism the staff showed during my time there. They were always around to refill drinks, ask if we were ok or more than happy to sing Happy birthday if one of the guests needed. Would rate 6 stars if there was the choice.

Fast and tasty food. It's an easy win with our toddler and the staff are great with him. He loves the orange and fruit plate they give with a face cut in it.

Similar to the other Kinjo locations, it's a large menu of Japanese food but I find the quality to be sub-par for the price. It's fun for groups but there are definitely better sushi restaurants in Calgary. I still go though for a quick sushi fix.

It's hard to describe how amazing this place is. Not only amazing sushi but wow the service is unbelievable. Like so good. Vlad said this restaurant is 11 out of 10 stars. Best sushi he has ever had.

I went to Kinjo with my family recently and all i can say is wow the experience was great. Despite it being a very busy night, the staff was incredibly quick, courteous and professional. Not to mention the sushi was amazing!!! Yum! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Definitely recommended.

I've only had amazing experiences at every Kinjo! The Dalhousie location is our go-to as the staff are always super friendly and accommodating. Thanks for all the yummy food!

Kinjo is by far our favorite restaurant in Calgary. The customer service is second to none that I've experienced here in this city. The way they welcome us when we walk in the restaurant always puts a smile on our faces. They are always ready and willing to give amazing service and the food is always fresh. We are regulars here. 5 stars all day long!

They have publicly yelled at us and told us that we aren't welcomed here all because we inquired about the 8 people policy.
I have never experienced such bad service. I would highly recommend against this branch specifically. Worst customer service ever.
The lady who has made a scene of my group publically and has claimed that we have never been out eating before, her name is Jacy. Please do yourself a favour and If you see her..run the other way.response / report this review -

This place is very bad in customer service. This one called Jacy is extremely rude she said to me and my fiancée we don't appreciate customers like you. She threw the bill on the table in an extremely rude way. I used to give good feedback about this restaurant but not anymore . I'm so disappointed from the way they treat their customers.
