Not much on the service but it’s a mom and pop style:) husband cooks, wife,Aunty, sister, daughter looks after the front.usually only two people working. But hey get over it, enjoy the food it’s different from other Indian/Pakistani restaurants (different province or region) that’s what I love about Indian / Pakistani food, it’s different in every restaurant, Again expensive but worth it. If that’s the cost of staying open to serve delicious food I understand, good size buffet too, nice place clean when it’s not rush hr lol. But yeah put this restaurant on the must eat at least once a month calander
Thw food is really good and fresh. We enjoyed the delicacies very much. Lamb biryani and kababs were awesome.
Spectacular . Have been going to this place for years with family . Superb warm fresh food and corial home like sercice . THUMBS UP✔
From the outside it seems kinda. BUT do not let this stop you. The food in the lunch buffet was really good. Not only was it hot and fresh the selection was wide. They offered a fairly extensive vegetation spread along with meat options the balance seemed perfect. However the nann bread was good but not the best I've had. They also have a menu with a very large selection of Indian cuisine. Overall this place is very good and well worth a try. The parking is convenient and free. Check it out for your self.
its not a worthy place to spend $18 for a buffet. Buffet dishes are not freshly made and taste bad. better to keep away from this restaurant.lot better restaurants in town
My friend and I had a very negative experience here. We had the buffet for a late lunch, early supper one day and almost all the food was spoiled. I had some of the butter chicken and it was was not cooked, it was pretty pink and raw. The potatos used to make the Aloo Tikki were spoiled, and my friend had to run to the bathroom to puke after trying some of the Gulab Jamun. We brought it up with the management and they threw away the dishes at the buffet. He apologized and offered a box of deserts to us for free, but we threw them out as soon as we left the restaurant, beacause why should we trust those deserts aren't spoiled?
Avoid this place at all costs, but if you do and you have the same experience we had then you should call a health inspector. It's too late for us to do it.
Service is excellent and the food is delicious esp the goat curry and butter chicken.
Food is awesome and service is fast and quick. Polite waiters and people at Kabab King with a smile on their faces. One of the best restaurants in Saskatoon. Will come again!!!
The food is really good. I always go their for take out delivery and the staffs are really friendly as well.
Best Indian in Saskatoon! We often order take out from there and we are never disappointed. My kids love it too.
Good place to eat, food and ambiance is really nice. But they need to improve their service, food always come late.
Very good east Indian food. Like VERY good. Don't expect too much for aesthetics inside the restaurant, so don't let that change your opinion of the food.
They have a buffet that you can eat at, or order out. If you wanted to order out but still taste a handful of things, you can get a plate of the buffet to go and fill it with the ~12-18 different meal options on the buffet (this costs the same as a buffet I think, but there is lots of choice for the ~$16)
Overall, the staples of what we get:
Butter Chicken - Sweet (very tasty for a first timer to Indian food)
Garlic Naan Bread - Each piece is big enough to share (but get 1 piece per person, as it is too good to share)
Lamb Tikka Masala (Lamb has a bit of a stronger taste than something like chicken, but it is very good)
Rice (Usually we cook our jasmine rice at home, but they make good rice too)
Also, would recommend the Chana Masala ( chickpea masala) as well as the Okra dish (I don't recall the name, but they'd know what you are talking about - reminds me of a spice filled zuchinni dish)
Very decent and clean and consistent afghan kebab food. Everything is made in house and fresh and authentic. None of that packaged stuff being sold at premium price like a lot of restaurants.
Food is good. I recommend to taste once. Dont try buffet though. :)
I was here on December 30 2016 at around 7.00pm, after ordering food waiter asked me not to share food with kids.. i was like, what was it? Why did he ask me not to share food with kidsthen i have got the answer moment later, people from my ethnic background share food with kids and while ordering buffet these people order only for parents and their kids eat from their plate..yes indeed thats not right but how come that waiter knows about me that i will share my food with my kids? That is profiling people with their ethnic background. For this reason i will not come again.. Dear Miss Owner you loose a customer today. Miss Owner please change this attitude because customer is your bread provider you are just servicing them. Learn this it will help you to grow your business!!!
Incredible food. I've traveled to 27 countries including India Nepal and Malaysia where Indian food is very popular. North and south.. this restaurant food is the best
