Favourite pizza in town. Been going here since I was 6 or 7. The sauce is exceptional and the crust is too notch, quality toppings and real cheese piled on. This isn't your garden variety cheaply pizza, this is gourmet stuff. You get what you pay for!

Today my parents ordered a pizza from Jim's Pizzeria in Maple Ridge as we have done many times before. We are vegetarians, and I am allergic to pineapple. My parents ordered a Large Pineapple Mushroom pizza and some pasta for themselves, and a smaller feta pizza for me. I was at work, and then was doing some dog walks for a friend who is out of town so my parents obviously were being sweet and doing me a favour. They put the pizza in the fridge and I got home, took a shower, and went to get my pizza. It had a ton of different things on it, including ham. I couldn't eat it, and as I couldn't eat my parents pizza (I'm a pretty laid back person, so I would have just cut my losses and left it at that if I could have) we gave Jims a call back. The waitress heard our complaint and was very apologetic and said they were very busy at 6 when we had ordered and that she would speak to someone. When she came back, she was nervously laughing and seemed embarrassed to tell us that she was being told to tell us that we were incorrect and had ordered a feta special, but if we wanted a pizza /we/ could drive to the restaurant and get a refund. We said that was ridiculous and that we'd like to speak with who is in charge. The manager (owner?) Peter came on the phone and right away told us we were wrong and had ordered the Feta Special, and again if it "really mattered" we could come up to them and get a refund. We pointed out again that this was their mistake and they should come refund us, he told us flat out no, and that their drivers are paid to delivery and that he wasn't paying for someone to do our refund. No other option was offered. We give Jims a ton of business over the past 15 years, and my mom's work frequents there and orders often for lunches and meetings. When she pointed this out, a bit irritated now, he hung up on us and wouldn't take our call. I've never left a bad review for anyone before but I'm rather appalled right now. So, here you go, Peter, this ones for you!

The pizza and lasagna were great, honestly the worst service though, saw the waitresses being reprimanded by what I assume was the boss, they talked openly/loudly together about partying all night til 6 am, and one of them (after I had to get up and ask for 2 glasses) tried pouring water onto my iced tea glass and seemed confused when I asked for a fresh cup & only brought one. they hide on the back until the door opens and the bell rings, or we'd have never gotten out of there, I normally don't rate things, but this was atrocious. I'll be ordering delivery next time for sure.

This sounds like a bunch of teenagers doing reviews to me. Ive lived in Ridge for 18 years now. Ive been going to Jims about once a mo th the whole time. Buffet is excellent, veggies always fresh , great chicken etc One of the last of the old school all you can eat salad bars/ buffets in the whole lower mainland. Never had a problem with their take out or pizza myself. If you remember the pizza from the old days that had a ton of toppings, good crust and good sauce this is it. Jims always reminds me of my youth when there was more restaurants that did buffets and salad bars. Not the cheapest place but certainly doesnt deserve the really bad reviews. If your super hungry and want a ton of variety try the weekend buffet.

Okay, do NOT eat here. This place should probably be condemned. If Gordon Ramsay and his Kitchen Nightmares staff showed up, they'd just leave. It's too far gone. If you haven't read about the fly in the lasagna incident, you should Google it. It's quite the story, and really captures the essence of this place.

However, I have to say that the pizza is pretty amazing. It's overpriced, but there is no good pizza anywhere in Maple Ridge, so it's worth the extra dollar or two that you pay. The crust is, for me, usually perfect, with just the right amount of crunch to it. They don't scrimp on the cheese or pizza sauce, and it's got a great balance of zest, tangy, and spicy.

Just get it to go. And don't get anything else off the menu.
