Very slow service, served finger food with no napkin. Cocktail (fish bowl) with a long black hair in it and it had cherries in it after being asked not to put them in it. Would not bother going here again..
Food was great and so was the service. Ordered the steak medium rare and it came out the way I like it. Would definitely go again.
Although the service at this location was fabulous and the staff was very accommodating. Great location. I couldn't give it 5 stars because of corporate decisions to the menu. As is often the case menu's are changed for varuous reasons, understandably. However the recommended substitute for my favourite meal was sub par and horrible. This has happened before with Jack Astor's. Getting rid of great quality tasty food has become a pattern for this chain. I'm not sure when or if I will return.
While the food was great and patio was pleasant, we had subpar service from our waiter. Nevertheless, I believe it was a one time incident and is not common at a place such as Jack Astor's. Great food and patio!
Amazing roof top patio, nothing like hanging out on the roof top in the summer time. The food is is good quality and reasonably priced. Be prepared to be in a loud high energy environment. For those the live the sports the many available screens to watch the action
Not sure where to go for great food, great drinks and a great atmosphere? Jack Astors is the place to go
Prices a little expensive. Menu skimmed down to what it used to be. Sangrias are the best here.
Went there for a late lunch. The atmosphere is perfect, the waitress was nice and polite. However, the food quality was awful! I had a stake there that smelled like burned carpet. I would never go there again!
Not entirely family friendly at the downtown location. Lots of rowdy university/bar-goers. They tended to hit the outdoor patio though.
Service was great and food was delicious!
Expensive beer! Jack Astor's charged me $7.98 for an XL Canadian draft. Absolutely outrageous! There was not enough beer in that glass to justify the cost. Shame on Jack Astor's! I was glad to see the place was only about 1/4 filled on Saturday night. I'm surprised anyone would tolerate their inflated prices. People are better off going to the "Ceeps" across the street. Goodbye Jack Astor's, you won't get my business ever again.
