Sold us a 2002 Lancer Evo On the 3rd day the car shut off while driving and almost crashed on the highway!!!! Asked them what’s wrong Fared keep saying he will get a mecenic to check but he never did so far.

Car keeps shutting off once in a while on the road while driving..

Took car to Mitsubishi dealership and they said they cannot diagnose this car it doesn’t show anything on the reader. Took it to mechanics they can’t figure it out. Now we are stuck with this garbage and it keeps shutting off while driving it anywhere..

I will kindly ask Fared to take the car back and give us our money back ($8400). Please return it as you guys know it’s a screwed up car that doesn’t even run and wasted money from a student who saves up years to buy a car

WONT RECCOMEND BUYING A CAR FROM THESE GUYS.. don’t know what these cars have been through in the past.

I don't normally do this, but JDMtuners inc has given me no choice but to leave a Poor review. Hopefully this will encourage them to sort out the situation, as my many emails and phone calls have failed to do so.

I purchased an engine from them on August 18th for a customer of mine. They advertise their engines as compression tested, and I was told it had startup warranty. A few weeks after purchasing the engine, it arrived at my shop.

When it came time to install the engine into the vehicle, I performed a cylinder leakage test on the engine first. I always do this test, as it has saved me time and money in the past. My test showed that there was only one cylinder that was a pass, with three cylinders having 80% or more leakage past the valves, with primarily the intake valves being the source of the leaks.

I sent three emails. All to the same address as I had previously used when purchasing the engine. When purchasing the engine, while their replies weren't always quick, they always did eventually reply. Now that I'm trying to get them to honor their startup warranty, all I get is crickets.

I called multiple times. Every time I was told that the person I was dealing with was out of the shop, and that they would call me back. They eventually stopped answering the phone if I called from my place of business, as I assume the caller ID would show up. So, I called from my cell phone, which they would answer, and again I would get the same story: We will have to call you back.

This has now gone on for many weeks. I could repair the engine and have a valve job done, but that would cost more than what I paid for the engine.

If they decide to honor their start up warranty and either refund my money or send me another engine, I will gladly take this review down. But this has gone on long enough.

Bought an EJ205 and all supporting parts needed for a swap from them. They gave me a great deal on all the parts in a package. I will be coming back to get more JDM parts from them.

A side note: if you are looking for parts it is better to go in to the store than phone. They are sometimes forgetful to call back.

Farrid and Nassim are always great to deal with and will always do their best to help anyone out. I have known them for a few years now and they have never been rude.They take a lot of flak because of people who are not knowledgeable and not responsible for their own mistakes and try to blame them for their own wrong doing. Such as engine guy from the last review who used the wrong spark plugs which were too long and blew the engine and wanted to claim warranty! What a joke.
They will always give anyone the time they deserve even if you have to wait for a bit because they are busy guys.
They are always willing to share knowledge and learn new things as well. I am very happy these guys are in my city and it is my pleasure and privileged to say I know them.

live on the west coast and have been to several tuners but always left them with a bitter taste in my mouth so to speak.

I was in town for unrelated reasons and a friend told me to stop by to look for parts for my gc8 type RA. I was incredibly impressed by the outstanding customer service, large amount of otherwise hard to find parts (in stock) and EXCELLENT pricing. Very knowledgeable, and friendly.

I highly recommend JDM, and in fact, they are my favourite automotive related shop I have been to yet. If you need anything tuner-related, do yourself a favour and stop in or contact them. you'll save money, time, and effort, not to mention more than likely you'll walk out with some nice goodies!
