We just went out to Chocolate Beach with our students in the Art Enrichment program at Art Spring. We are studying the Group of 7 and like them we made our way via water ways to get to a superb sketching site. Thanks to Jack, Cassie and Kip for guiding us, sharing all your amazing knowledge and helping us return safely to shore. I highly recommend Island Escapades for small and large group excursions. Their knowledge base and skill exceeds most expedition companies!

Just back off the water after the 5 hour tour to Russell Island. Very nice tour and EXCELLENT Guides. Mia and Kevin did a superb job of instructing 5 novice and 2 moderately experienced paddlers. They both showed a huge amount of enthusiasm and patience. They both seem to really enjoy the people they guide. Jack Rosen did a great job of recommending this tour for our family. With two (nearly) 8 year olds joining the parents in double kayaks and our 11 year old in a single. Excellent instruction for the 11 year old who ended up paddling like a pro in no time, completed the whole trip with out any help, smiling ear-to-ear. Highlight of our summer trip! We will be back.

Island Escapapdes rocks!
Me and four friends did both the kayak and hiking week-long expedition about a decade ago. At the time, being lazy 13 year old boys who just wanted to play video games all summer, we weren't happy with the idea of our parents sending us to foreign Canada for 2 weeks. But after those two weeks, tired and sore as we were, we all agreed that we had had an extremely memorable time and had learned a lot in the process while also getting to experience the beauty of British Columbia. My four friends and I are all still good friends, and we all still talk about our good times at Island Escapades.
So, to any parents looking for somewhere to send their kids this summer or next, don't send your kids to any other camps besides this one. Not only will your kids come back tanned and strong, but happy and tired as well. Like I said I went to this camp over a decade ago, but Jack Rosen is an extremely gifted and able teacher and guide, and I'm sure with him in charge all the staff that is with them today is great as well.
So again, 5 stars all around. This camp produced a lot of fond adolescent memories for me, and I'm sure it will for your kids too!response / report this review -

Totally enjoyed a school field trip with Jack, Nathan and Marjorie. My son had a great time and on the way home said I'm going to miss SaltSpring. Appreciated the team effort in making the time unforgettable:)
