I went for wing night at the sports bar. The service and atmosphere was good. I did leave feeling a little sick after the wings I ate.

Since it's close to the highway, lots of sounds at night, I always like to sleep on the outside area they have for more privacy but going to the second floor in the hotel would be better for peace and quiet

comfortable rooms but no elevator ,if you have challenges and problems with stairs you will have to stay in the motel side where the rooms are smaller the staff is friendly and helpful when needed.

Everything was great, service was nice, but the carpet and the sheet were kinda wet. But cheap place good price. Not that far from downtown Winnipeg!

Roadtrip. Many places could qualify for 5 stars on our trip Calgary-Quebec City. But there is an only place that I can not describe with the stars. The One, the Only Howard Johnson Express Inn! We got fooled by nice pictures and good reviews as well as an affordable price and location, convenient to our needs, and booked a room there. After a friendly greetings at the front desk, we got a key and drove to our parking spot in front of the room. I opened the door and I had an instant dream"Night before. Two large dogs walked all the way from Northern Ontario under a pouring rain knocked on a reception door. One of the dogs handled a credit card to receptionist and barked: " We need a room for one night. Double bed." Receptionist gave them a key from the room we were unfortunate to book for the next night. Dogs got inside, one of them went to take a shower, the other jumped to the bed. "It's very dusty in here"- barked a dog from the shower. "Who cares, at least the room smells like a kennel" said the other dog lounging on the bed. They had a dinner, had a nice sleep and left a few marks on the floor. In the morning they left continuing their journey to West Coast. Happy and well rested.The next night we checked in our room, which still smelled like a kennel, had a stains on carpet and was not vacuumed. Beds were made, but not changed, and the dogs fur was all over the linens. We asked to change the beds, but unfortunately cleaners were off at that late hour. We were offered fresh linens and opportunity to change the beds ourselves. Which we did. I love dogs, but sleeping in a doghouse was still new to me, and I should probably asked for another room, but I did not do it for an experience, i guess. Oh well it's in the past now. Next morning I went to reception and asked why they gave us a pets friendly room? I got an answer"Your room is "no pets allowed" one." I sighed, sat into my car and drove away, towards two nameless dogs who disappeared in the fog the day before..

BED BUGS!!!!.. If you can afford to stay in a more upscale place I would suggest you do so. I stayed one night in room 116 and was bitten by bed bugs I called the reception to inform them although I received no apology, discount or even a call back from the manager.. This was not a pleasant experience..Also the carpets are sprayed with a very heavy sented perfume. If you have allergies or are prone to headaches I would advise you to stay elsewhere..

It was good, good rates, excellent service. I chose this hotel because they advertised park and fly shuttle service. When we checked on we were informed it was not true. Very disappointed in that aspect. Otherwise it was excellent.

I was not impressed with the location but looks can be deceiving. I was pleasantly surprised with the rooms on the 2nd floor as well as the very friendly staff. Overall, it was a good place to rest your head for the night.

We went to watch the Jets game. They had fantastic specials and the food was good. We will go again for sure.

We stayed in the motel because you get your own parking space, but next time we'll do the hotel. You can hear the traffic off of Portage a bit, and there was frost creeping in from the doorway.
Although that being said the staff were very friendly, the bar is a lively place to get drinks and food, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are bigresponse / report this review -
