A must see place. History going back 9000 years. This is one of those places that you cannot miss. The history and the background stories are fascinating. The museum is well designed, exhibits have thorough explanations and the cliff-top walk is very informative. I also liked the walk below the cliff, have been there twice and would probably go back there again when I next go to Canada.

Great place to learn about native history and culture. They have a movies going on every 5 mins how this place become heritage and how native people hunt and survive. Next summer I'll be visiting this place again and highly recommend you to visit. Love it.

Very interesting and historically informative. You go up to the top floor and explore the buffalo jump, then go back inside for a look at the history of the jump inside the museum. It is very intriguing for kids as there are hands on activities as well as a short film about the jump. The cafeteria has a nice selection of fast foods and prepackaged food and the staff are friendly, though the food is a little overpriced.

From California visited friends in Calgary. We drove down to Waterton Park, but my hosts insisted on taking this side trip on the way. It was well worth it. I'd never heard of the place. Very respectful display of this history in a well developed museum setting. Highly recommended as part of a Waterton Park trip.

An easy day trip from Calgary and you get a unique authentic perspective on First Nation's culture. Kids loved the exhibits and hikes available. World Heritage Site Designation means the site is kept to global standards.

It's always windy so bring a jacket.

Also an amazing trip off peak when you can often find it empty which gives it even more impact.

Check out the wind farms and Oldman River Dam to the southwest as well.

One of the best places i have ever been to in Canada. It shows you the colorful culture of the Aboriginals. It gives you a one of a kind experience, especially going inside in a teepee and watching the 15 min show.

A very respectful and educational center. Well worth the stop. We'd recommend including the First Nations presentation, if possible.

We also had the bison stew w bannock. A little pricy, but tasty, in a good homemade way.

Excellent interpretive center with lots of things to see and lots of activities to do. There are things to see both inside and outside. Activities there to keep the kids engaged as well. The displays talk about everything from the oral traditions, to the Buffalo hunt, and all the way to the excavations. A really well done display.

This is my favourite attraction in all of Alberta - there is something magically spiritual about standing on the lookout, overlooking the kill-site, taking in the broad prairie-vista, and the big Alberta sky. Such an interesting piece of aboriginal history here.

Very interesting history. Nicely laid out museum. Modern, informative. Worth making the drive to visit. Parking is below the hill, so be prepared to walk a little bit uphill to the museum.

Informative museum that tells the story of the Blackfoot people and their relationship with the buffalo (also known as bison), one of their primary sources of sustenance. The museum highlights the culture and tradition surrounding buffalo hunting, which sustained the locals for thousands of years but was carried out on a massive scale with the arrival of the Europeans, driving the buffalo to near extinction. The conservation effort to revitalize the buffalo population is commendable.

The museum is housed in a modern building, which also includes a small cafeteria and a gift shop. The top floor offers fantastic views of the prairies.

Outside the museum premises are some great hiking trails for those who wish to spend more time in the area. It can be cold and windy in the area so bring extra layers as necessary.
