Beautiful white sand beach! Clean, safe and friendly people! Grand Bend is a great place to bring your family, or to have a fun weekend with your friends.
Best place to be in the summer. Huge beach and great strip to take a stroll on. A lot of money and work has been put into the main drag and the beach structure at the end with bathrooms and an awesome lookout over the entire beach. It can get pretty busy on long weekend when the weather is nice, so if you're driving try and get to the parking lot early on.
Grand Bend, as well as the provincial park and surrounding area make a decent day trip. Depending on the season and how intentional you are about checking out new places and trying new things, you should find plenty to do in GB. Many activities happen during the summer season. The beach is extremely popular, and displays some of the nicest sunsets you could ever hope to see.
Just under 3 hours driving! Beautiful happening beach. So much to do here.. parasailing, jet ski, trampoline in lake- wow. It's such a fun packed happening place you shouldn't miss. Highly recommended place.
One thing Don't get attracted by the ice-cone pops with different colours. Instead go inside and enjoy different types of chocolates . A must to do if you are in Ontario!
We actually enjoyed our visit here (especially my daughter) because we went on a Wednesday, so the crowd is not that much. Lots of stores/restos to choose from. There are tons of activities that can be done within the area as well. We will definitely come back here and will be staying longer.
There's a lifeguard, splash pad, beach volleyball area, kids playground, wash rooms and changing rooms. Cheaper parking available along the road and during weekdays, parking is free after 5pm.
Really nice beach adjacent to small town with lots of small stores and restaurants. Soft sand and tons of activities around. Really liked it
This beach has clean sand and water with lifeguards. Their is a splash pad, washrooms and changerooms. A look out and A lot of rental opportunities for water sports. This beach is the best in southern Ontario. Parking at beach is 20 bucks for the day but if you don't mind walking you could find some down a street for cheaper or nothing.
One of the best beaches around. Sometimes too crowded. The city provides changing room and restrooms free, showers to clean up the sand, splash pad and playground toys. Lots of parking lots, but they are expensive, $4/h, although you can park further and on small streets for free, just watch out for parking regulations because they do ticket people. There are several bars and restaurants, mini golf, bat swing cages, jet ski rentals, parasail (fly in a parachute towed by a boat) and other services can be arranged, but they can be quite expensive. Water is not cold from July on.
The beach is ok, you have to step over rocks to get into the water. And we found our youngest didn't want to go into the water because it got deep really fast. On another note the small little shops along the strip are great and the diner with the red sign and patio have great food and some of the best fries I have had in a long while. If I was to go back here it would be for shopping not the beach.
Great beach! We go here often. Food, fun and water. Lots to do and see. Work a visit for a day or rent a cottage for a well. Lots to do for adults and kids.
