A family member gave them a large deposit and their project hasn’t started yet. It was booked over a year ago. Now they sent a note saying The start date was delayed again yet still want another payment before the project even begins. Ridiculous!

We purchased a gateway kitchen now about 4 years ago. It is hard to believe how time flys when you have such s nice kitchen. My wife and I were just talking the other day again how great the whole experience was. Working with the staff from the design stage to the finishing touches at the end. I really liked how organized they were with the customer getting a printed schedule on what was happening every day. I have also been an employee with them for about 28 years. It is a really great family run business. I would definitely recommend Gateway Kitchen to anyone.

After living in our home for 28 years we decided we needed a kitchen/bathroom reno. We talked to Bela at the Home and Garden show and right then and there realized she was someone we could work with and that Gateway was the company for us. We loved the fact that all the trades would be looked after, that we had a schedule of all the workers and when they would be at the house, and that the whole job would be done in less than 6 weeks! Bela was a dream to work with. She realized quickly what we wanted , what our budget was and never tried to sell us on anything we weren't interested in. She even had a few budget cutting ideas! Dale, our contractor was absolutely wonderful and a great problem solver ( not that there were many problems). All the trades, - Victor, the tiler, Mark, the painter, the guys from Balcaen and Electric 2000 and Dorothy, our scheduler, did a great job and were nice to boot. We'd heard horror stories about kitchen renovations but ours went smoothly and quickly and the results are fabulous. We are so happy and will recommend Gateway to all our friends and family.

We've lived with our renovated kitchen for almost 1 year now and we are very satisfied with Jim and Art and the others at Gateway. Our multi-discipline, medium-sized renovation job ended up on-time and on-budget, which was great. As expected, we encountered some minor issues, but they were dealt with quickly and easily. There are a few very minor things that I would have preferred to have been done differently, but there are also a number of other things that Gateway was able to do for us that we are very happy about. For example, they sourced particular glides and glass and made a few fabrication changes that were important to us. In particular, we had a few cabinets fabricated and delivered as one large piece with a continuous face frame instead of separate smaller boxes that get joined on-site. This gives a cleaner, more furniture-like appearance. It is harder for the installer to handle the large cabinets and is more difficult to manufacture and deliver, but in the end we really appreciated the effort. In the kitchen there isn't a single 'filler' strip and there are no extra joints showing anywhere. Overall, we're quite happy with the end result and would not hesitate to chose Gateway again.
