A combination of great ambience and tasty Indian food..
Nicely maintained and good space to treat your dear ones.
If you are tempting for some authentic Indian dishes with Indian spices here is the place..
Staff is very supportive and co-operative!

It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Excellent food,Menu is extensive and seasonal to a particularly high standard. Love this place and will continue to visit.

Wonderful food. Fresh tasting as their name implies. Excellent service. Very honest and courteous. I recently order Edwards a takeout. I thought the restaurant had made an error in my order. Called them and they offered a refund. I then realized it was MY error. Next time I went to pick up a new order I noted they had given me credit on the order for the alleged error. I pointed out it was my error but they declined my off offer to pay them for the credit they gave me. Remarkable that they remembered their promise of refund and then refused my offer to pay.

After enjoying many Indian restaurants over the years in Victoria and elsewhere, Fresh Tandoori is by far my favorite. It is authentic Indian food made with quality ingredients and no cut corners. If you are passionate about Indian food don't cheap out. This is food made with the love of their culture and tradition and the difference is noticeable. Hint: Fresh Tandoori's "mild'' is authentic Indian mild, not Canadian "mild" and it's delicious.

Me and my mother waited one hour for 3 dishes we ordered and received only one. There were several people that arrived after we did that all received better service and their food while we sat waiting for ours. When it hit the hour mark we asked one of the servers when our food would arrive and that we had places to go. She said just 5 more minutes. In those 5 minutes that we waited, more people that arrived after us were receiving their food before we got our order. Overall not a great experience.

This is the best restaurant I have visited in victoria. I love the food at this restaurant. The employees are very nice and welcoming nature. The manager (owner) of the restaurant is also very nice. They have good quality food and this place is very neat and clean ❤️

I've tried just about every Indian restaurant in Victoria and I can safely say that this one is my new favorite. The buffet is terrific value and is always delicious. There are tons of options if you decide to order a-la cart and the service is always top notch. Other Indian restaurants are good sometimes, but this one is CONSISTENTLY GOOD and is not terribly oily and greasy like some other places.

Delicious food with a great outdoor patio. This restaurant has a great selection of food, both meat and vegetarian options. The hot plates come out sizzling and the place has a great vibe. I highly recommend the freshly squeezed juice!!

I am basing my review solely off of the butter chicken. The chicken was over cooked to the point where you could barely chew it. The curry had zero flavour or spice even though I had asked for medium. It literally tasted like tomato soup. They are probably using the same curry base most Indian restaurants use here in Victoria, which is disappointing because I was finally hoping to try some authentic Indian food.

I feel like for the quality off food I was served it is not worth $17.50, although it is Oak Bay and they can get away with it.

We've ordered from here a few times but always ordered the vegetarian dishes and they were SO GOOD. But just today we ordered again but this time I ordered 2 chicken dishes combined with the usual vegetarian dishes. I'm sad to say something seemed wrong with the chicken? I think it's the worst I've ever had from a restaurant (and I eat out a LOT). It was so dry and had so much gristle which is crazy considering it was butter chicken which is usually so tender?

It tastes like it was cooked, then frozen (possibly freezer burnt), cooked again and thrown into whatever dish was ordered. The only time I've had chicken this dry was when it was in the fridge for days.

So my review is:
Their vegetarian food is good, but don't order the chicken. Pretty sure I wasted $40 today cause I don't want to call and complain based on a previous reviewer who had food poisoning and they required proof they didn't eat the meal. I shouldn't have to drive over there with my chicken to show them that it was bad.

However they are cooking or storing the chicken should be changed.

[EDIT (In response to the restaurant's reply):
I would check to make sure none of your cooks are overcooking the meat? I was surprised too because butter chicken is normally not dry at all. I'll try it again in the restaurant when the pandemic is over. If it's better I'll change the review.

We have eaten at this restaurant four times including today at lunch. The service is friendly and courteous. The food is alway excellent and less rich than most Indian restaurants. We like the fact that we come away satisfied and not feeling over full like some Indian restaurants we have been to. We highly recommend this neighborhood spot for your Indian food fix. Make it a regular place to enjoy. We do.
