The nicest campground I've stayed in Kananaskis. There's a lovely little common/ eating area, and all the tent sites have nice privacy and are never more than a couple meters from the river. Great site to have a first backcountry experience, or stage hikes to the wonderful lakes/ peaks around!

A nice campground to with many great hikes around the area and a great river running through it to provide fresh water. Don't worry about Iodine pills, just bring a good micro water filter such as the MSR or Sawyer brands. The site has a communal fire pit, available firewood, an outhouse, and bear lockers. There are 15 sites in this camp at a rate of $12/night. Make sure to book online using the AlbertaParks website. You can book up to 3 months before your intended reservation date.
