Nothing "bad" per se, but no dish particularly stood out for me. I have had better (and worse) elsewhere. Average.

Note: I came in for Dim Sum not dinner.

I called the restaurant beforehand to make a reservation. When I got there, the hostess informed me that there'll be a wait even though I saw a lot of empty tables in the restaurant. I asked her how long the wait would be and she begrudgingly just said "not too long" without giving me an estimated range. I sat down to wait, and during this time I saw parties of 8 and 4 that did not make reservations getting seated before me, even though they arrived after I came.

When we finally got seated, it was about 20 mins after our original reservation time. I honestly did not see the point of our reservation if we had to wait 20 minutes. It was hard to get a server to our table the whole time, and when we finally got one they did not know how to speak English properly. Our table's server did not even once checked up on us or asked us how the food was.

When it was time to pay the bill, I did not tip the restaurant because of all these things I mentioned so far. When the server saw that I didn't tip, he told me that the charge didn't include tip. I said I knew and I just didn't want to tip. He proceeded to ask me what he did wrong and that was fine, so I explained to him. He replied me saying that that the tip is for the server's service and not the hostess'. He continued in an attempt to guilt trip me into leaving a tip by telling me that servers get paid below minimum wage and they rely on tips to survive, that he would get in trouble if I didn't leave a tip, and that leaving a tip is normal in Asian countries and in North America.

This left a bad taste in my mouth as he did not try to rectify the situation, and instead pushed the blame onto someone else, and tried to convince me to tip for bad service when in fact a tip is earned and not a given.

I left and I did not end up tipping him. Never coming back.

Best Cantonese style dim sum in town. Get the lobster congee, shrimp dumplings, and egg tarts. Reasonable prices given the quality. Skip the 30+ minute waits on the weekend by getting there early.

Got there at 11:05 after opening and they were full with a wait, for our group of 10 they took us immediately which was nice. Food is pretty good and price is medium-high. But will go back. Some of the other reviews complain about not being western let friendly and bad service but you're going to have to put up with that for most decently good dim sum anyway. It's not personal, maybe just a cultural thing.

I wish there was a way to give no stars at all because that's what this place deserves. They all but refused us service; we arrived and they were not busy, but without even looking down at her paper the hostess told us they were full. The restaurant clearly was not, you could tell from simply looking around that not even half the tables were taken. We then asked how long the wait would be and after much discussion amount the staff, they begrudgingly tired to tell us they couldn't accommodate our party of three, and only served large parties because their food was family style. We told them we were fine with family style, and they eventually ended up seating us, next to another party of three. After sitting there a moment and one pass from the staff, who were quite rude, we decided to leave. I wouldn't return if you paid me, do NOT waste your time with this place!

Decent dim sum at a higher but reasonable price. Some of the meat was a bit overcooked. Waiters weren't overly friendly but they were very fast once we managed to sit down. Expect long wait times at lunch. We put our names down at 10:45 and didn't sit until 12:00 (she said it'd be a 30 minute wait which was a little annoying).

Really great dim sum. Probably the best I've had in my few trips to Vancouver. Pricey, but worth it. Even if you make a reservation, expect to spend about twenty minutes waiting for a table.

Note: I haven't eaten here for dinner yet.

I went for dim sum: Decent food. I'm a Kirin regular and I was a little disappointed after some solid reviews here. It is, however, more affordable than the restaurant previously mentioned. Two stand outs for me were the shrimp dumplings and the BBQ pork in rice wrap. They were both delicious. Service wasn't great but pretty standard for dim sum places in Richmond.

Went Sunday at 10:30am , party of 4 without reservations. We managed to get the last table. Having never been before we took some time to decide our order but it was picked up as soon as we held it out. Food started coming right away and was all delicious. We had 9 dishes and all were yummy but the favorites were definitely the Shrimp Spring roll and Smoked salmon salad. We also had assorted dumplings, stuffed buns, rice, chow mein and duck, of course all with tea. $70 total. Good deal.

I'm pretty obsessed with Dim Sum. It's now become my go-to birthday meal and anytime we're visiting a place that may have good dim sum, I insist on going. Hands down, pretty sure this was the best Dim Sum meal I've ever had. My husband said it was, for sure, his favorite all time. They don't have carts, so you have to order from the menu, but they do have Dim Sum all seven days of the week. It's a bit of a hike from downtown Vancouver, but it's pretty direct on the train. If you don't see your favorite dim sum items, just ask. Chinese broccoli was not on the menu, but I asked and got a delicious plate of it.

Good Dim sum restaurant in Aberdeen mall. A good variety of dishes and have prompt service. They do not do walk around plates instead relying on menu ordering. They have English and Chinese menus.
Decor is warm wood and red fabric wall hangings. They are large, able to accommodate hundreds of guests albeit in a half oval restaurant shape. They do have small groups for bookings, but limit ten to a table.
Parking is readily available in the covered parking lot attached to the mall. They also have street parking. Transit is from most of the Richmond bus lines as well as the Canada line stop directly at the mall end.
Access is from the third floor of the mall.

Reviewing only for Dim Sum. Go here early, gets really busy on weekends. Large selection of high quality traditional Cantonese dim sum. No carts, but offers English and Chinese check list menus for your selection. No pictures on menus, so if you are not sure what to order bring somebody who does. Price is reasonable for the quality of food. Service is fast and better than other restaurants in Richmond area.
