Loved it!!!! Best course I have taken in a long time. Informative and fun. Bill and Shelley shared their own experiences which was amazing and helped make sense during training. Firearms can be lots of fun, but safety is everyone's responsibility. Great job Bill and Shelley and thanks!!!!!!!!
Went to do the restricted firearms upgrade course September 24th with Bill and Shelly at Firearm Safety Canada. It was a great course, both Bill and Shelly were great teachers, they made the course fun and helped me feel very comfortable by the end of the course knowing that i can safely handle them and know all the ins and outs of how they work. I Would highly recommend doing your firearms courses with them, they won't steer you wrong!
Great people, great class. I took the CFSC and CRFSC training with Bill and Shelly. They love guns and are both excellent trainers. Highly recommended FSC for anyone who wants to start off with guns, or maybe its been 30 years since you shot.
My experience taking the CFSC and CRFSC was flawless. The instructors (Bill and Shelly) were extremely knowledgeable and passionate when it came to the course material. Due to their knowledge, experience and friendly attitude towards teaching, I passes both courses with very little previous knowledge. The small course size allowed for an immersive classroom which created a very comfortable and relaxed feel. All questions that I asked, as well as questions which were asked by other students were accurately answered with detail. I will definitely be registering for the hunting course they offer in the near future.
After serving 5 years in the Army Reserve some time ago, I finally decided to take the CFSC and CRFSC with Firearm Safety Canada. Despite my Military experience I gained so much more knowledge through the FSC course. I feel far more comfortable and knowledgeable about firearm safety regarding a wider variety of firearms, ammunition types and our civic responsibility that comes with firearm ownership.
The instructors (Bill and Shelly) are very experienced and made every student feel comfortable in a safe learning environment.
The curriculum was very well-paced between, power point, static displays, group discussion and hands on training. With quizzes at the end of each section, I knew where I needed to spend more time reviewing prior to the exam.
I found the hands-on training using disabled firearms an absolute asset to this course. I would have never had an opportunity elsewhere to learn the safety procedures on a single-action revolver or lever-action rifle.
Every student had plenty of time to ask additional follow-up questions and spend extra time with the firearms if needed.
I strongly recommend Firearm Safety Canada to anyone who is looking to take the CFSC or CRFSC course.
I really learned a lot!
My wife and I recently took the CFSC and CRFSC courses and exams through Firearm Safety Canada. We found the courses extremely informative and the instructors Bill and Shelley Sherman to be very knowledgeable and passionate about firearm safety. We look forward to taking our OHEC with FSC in the spring.
A group of us completed the restricted and non-restricted licenses this weekend with Firearm Safety Canada. The instructors (Bill and Shelly) were vastly knowledgeable, communicated the material effectively and always identified the safe and proper techniques for all situations. I know we all felt much more confident handling, identifying and safely using firearms after our weekend with FSC. We highly recommend the services of FSC and will be completing our hunting licenses through them in the coming months.
I had a terrible experience with these people.
My friend and I signed up for a course with these people, and initially they seemed quite nice.
Later on they called me to let me know that they wanted to change the date for their own personal reasons. I was told that if it was an issue with my schedule, I would be offered a full refund. The following day when I requested for a refund, they changed their mind and no longer offered me a full refund, but instead insisted that I be charged a $25 "adminstration fee" for cancelling the course - even though it was them who changed the course date on me. All I requested is that my friend and I receive our administration fees back, since the company's newly proposed date didn't fit a date that worked better for us. We also gave the company more than 3 weeks of notice that we would not like to stay in the course - but yet their "admin fee" remained. I would also like to point out, that this happened almost three years ago - and my previous review I left was somehow erased. I am a firm believer in justice and will continue to ensure that people are made aware of the selfish and greedy behaviour of these folks.
