I was recently looking to open a business account. I was amazed to discover a financial institution that actually offered a NO FEE business account, something that is unheard of with the traditional big banks.

I met with Heli, an investment specialist, who was very friendly and helpful. She was able to set up my business and personal accounts in just over 1 hour. I only had to pay a one-time account setup fee of $50, and purchase 2 shares at $20 each to set up both accounts. (The share purchases are refundable if you ever close the accounts, but why would you?) So if you're currently paying, say, $15 a month in fees, this account pays for itself in just 6 months!

I highly recommend this Credit Union for anyone looking for a no-fee business account (even the cheques are free) with superb customer service.

Best bank ever: you can use your Interac® card anywhere without charges, the customer service is superior, profits are shared amongst members [yes -- they pay you] and you get an alternative to supporting RBC, TD, BoM, etc who really do not need billion dollar profits at customer expense. In over a decade BoNS + RBC have made countless, time-consuming errors yet ECU has made none.

Once I bounced a check at ECU + not only did they not charge me for insufficient funds, but they covered it for me until I could put the money into my account. Another time, I needed to sign a document but was unable to come in so they sent two employees next door to get my signature.

The only drawback is that they don't offer RDSPs, but neither do most banks [only RBC + BoM do]. Why everyone doesn't bank with ECU is a mystery to me. If any of my non-Esto friends want to set up an account, I'll e-mail you a referral card.

Suur, suur aitäh to everyone working at ECU. I'm super-grateful for all your excellent service + kindness over the past many years.

THE best bank EVER. Amazing customer service. Super personal, they really get to know you and all your needs. I do my corporate banking there as well, and same goes for that, super service. Why would anyone ever go to a 'big bank' I will never know.

Ma ei saa aru, miks see kohalik Kanada pank nimetatakse Eesti pangaks? Neil pole mingit sidet Eestiga ja Eesti pangandusega, peale selle, et nad asuvad Eesti majas Torontos ja töötajad suhtlevad sinuga eesti keeles. Mõni aeg tagasi külastasin Kanadat ja tekkis vajadus sularahas. Arvasin, et kõige lihtsam on pöörduda maakaaslaste juurde, kuid eksisin. Peale loengut, et ameerika mandril enamus ei kasuta sularaha, ma ei saanud mingit abi. Nad isegi ei taha (või ei oska) kasutada makseterminali. Nii et, kallid eestlased, kui teil tekib võimalus külastada Torontod, ärge lootke, et Eesti pank Torontos teid aitab. Võtke sularaha kaasa või kasutage mõne teise kohaliku panga ATM.
