My husband and I had to stay here for 2 months in the summer 2 on/2 off for his work.
    Where do I even begin?
The lady who runs the place, Tammy, is downright rude. Just the most unpleasant person to deal with, she has absolutely no customer service skills or consideration. When we were moving sites because a 30amp came available she spent 10 minutes telling us what pissed her off about how one of the other employees booked us. That is not our fault and very unprofessional. When we let her know we had to leave 10 days early she got very upset, reamed me out, didn't have any compassion or kindness and re-calculated our stay, after we paid $600 for the MONTH, telling us we owed $4 TO LEAVE 10 DAYS EARLY. I just can't even believe how rude. Even though there is a waiting list to get into those sites, so the site was filled right away, and she was not out anything. Besides, it's a camp site! We didn't leave in high season. Isn't that supposed to be a perk of a campsite, plans can change and you can come and go as needed? One day Tammy was driving around the campsite telling people that she was there now for them to check in, stopped in front of my campsite trying to get the attention of the people across from me, yelling at them, they didn't realize that she was talking to them as they were in their campsite talking amongst their family, so she starts HONKING at them to get their attention! I've never met anyone so rude and unprofessional in my life.
The other gals that worked there were friendly and helpful.

Besides the atrocious customer service there were a few other problems.

There is no camp host, there is only two blocks of time in the day there is someone in the office. So if you need help, or are in a 15amp site and trip the breaker, you have to wait.

The showers are absolutely awful. Yes, they are warm and free which is great.
The shower heads are out of control and it is the most uncomfortable experience trying to shower. They have cheap thin material shower curtains that stick to you when the water turns off. There are signs in the doors that say "please keep shower curtain inside shower". They obviously have never tried to shower in these showers. You'd think they would try to find out why the floor is always flooded.
It would make this experience so much better if they just spent a little money on new shower heads, and possibly some thicker curtains. Considering we did pay as much a month to use our own trailer and we are now for a furnished apartment in elkford.

We will never EVER camp here again.

Amazingly well kept camp ground. Bathrooms are spotless and fully serviced. Wood was well priced. Camp sites are large and well 🌲 making them very comfortable even on the hottest days. Staff was very friendly😁. All in all great experience there.

Mostly a great time. Sometimes the bar in town can be a bit loud and the noise travels to the closer camp sites. The customer service is great and the price is very reasonable.

Not a bad place to tent. A little pricey. But all that food just across the street? Met lots of others riding the GDMBR.

Manager is never around, don't know where he hides. Bring your own firewood, the free firewood is a lie, you get one bag free per day, $10 for every additional bag.if you can find the guy and it's like trying to pull teeth to get any out of him.go figure. Pads are gravel, and there are lots of spruce / pine beetles flying around. Also, the noise bylaw is not upheldload partying going on until all hours. Powered site was a joke..lights were okay but if you plugged in a coffee pot with it.POP goes the breaker. Showers were hot, but you can't adjust the heads so you end up with just as much water on your clean clothes as on you.not the greatest experience.
