Make sure to check your prof from (ratemyprof) before taking any courses. I studied there for about 2 years and encountered one instructor who was really unprofessional and ill-mannered (for Cory Pederson using profanity and mucking up her relatives, such as her own son and sister about their mental illnesses, was absolutely normal and routine). She was also fascinated by the idea of killing her ex-husband and wouldn't hesitate to share that fascination during her lectures by indicating how and by what kind of weapons she wanted to murder him! Ironically, the dean and associate dean of psych department are indeed the instructor's advocators (they made a complaint against me for making a complaint against that instructor!!!). Over all, try a different college if you can, such as Langara College, to avoid such hassles.

Had good experience with study and environment here. Would always wanted to go back to this school for further academic training. International academic advisors are helpful, yet the front desk needs to be more professional and helpful cuz normally the lineup is long and the staff takes long time to find out answers to questions.

This is the best college you'll ever be to, in the entire British Columbia. Their facilities, building design and staff are excellent. Although their fees structure doesn't take a long time in digging a hole in your pocket, they make sure that your college life goes 'luxurious'. I'm so glad to be here.

The staff and office administration was very straight forward with my paper work for my funding. I suggest to take one course a term because it is a heavy workload. Douglas College, has been good to me.

Overall my experience here was amazing. If only they would offer more bachelor programs I would stay longer. Would recommend to come here, I have heard from many different friends their feedback from other colleges and according to that I would say Douglas college (among postsecondary institutions - excluding UBC) is the best when it comes to campus life which I believe it is very important as well. Yes some teachers are not professional and rude, but in general out of 17 different professors I've had only 2 or 3 felt into that category, the rest were very good at explaining and also supportive and encouraging.

The only down side is the uphill that after 2 years and half was still not able to get used to it.

Absolute hell. The instructors and teachers are mostly incompetent and the environment is adversarial to learning. Do not attend the stagecraft program it is a joke in the industry. The administration will not help you if you are bullied or threatened by an teachers. The worst experience I have ever had. Find a trade school instead. A new media teacher actually tried to indoctrinate the class to communism, seriously. Avoid this place.

I am international student and I am totally unhappy with my choice of this college. International office which supposed to help in fact totally useless and rude (except academic adviser). Registration process is super unfair and I believe they do not give preferences to the students with good academic standing because my GPA is 4.22 and I still have to wait! And there are only few instructors that are really willing to give knowledge. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COLLEGE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS and personally thinking to transfer somewhere else.

It has an amazing interior design and a magnificent staircase when you walk in. Its only a little for students to come Richmond to here, but other than that it has a lot of facilities for students to use.

It is a good college. i gave it a 5 cus i think its under rated on google reviews.Only problem i hav is that the fees that douglas college charges to international students is alot more than some of the other colleges of its class (langara and the ones in ontario) but then again the courses offered in douglas college are more diverse than any other college that I know of.

The college has definitely under gone some major renovations and a very nice face lift. Teachers are decent. Defiantly read the teacher reviews online. The staff are amazingly helpful over the phone.
