Hey All,
Today we took a tour with Aaron (@Discover Banff Tours). He was awesome. We have travelled the world with guides across all the major sites, I would like to put on record that Aaron was by far the best guide we have had . Jovial, amicable, knowledgeable and totally genuine. His story telling and enclopedia like brain was remarkable. We felt at ease on the tour, 5 hours whizzed by and his pace and tone was natural. Sometime tours sound scripted, however a tour with Aaron is like being lead by someone who is 100% committed to his trade, passionate and engrossed in what he is doing. He was fully versed on anything from flora an fauna, rock formations, social, ecological and his anecdotal delivery was very astute. All in all good spirited and a pleasure . We left the tour enriched and felt sated by Aaron's great company. Thanks to Aaron and Discover Banff have a gem.

Had a great time! Maybe not entirely cheap, but it's definitely the best way to visit Banff and surroundings without a car.
The guide Nicole was knowledgeable and experienced.

We signed up for the Wildlife Safari with Dennis as our tour guide an Hugh as the visual aids presenter. We were lucky on that particular evening to spot a number of elk during rutting, bighorn sheep, a white-tailed deer and a coyote. Our tour guides have been very engaging and knowledgeable. However, one has to keep in mind that this is not a tour of a zoo and animal appearance is not guaranteed. As well, people who are not keen on photographing animals and just wish to be lucky to see them would enjoy the tour more than would photographers. The tour is conducted late in the day, when a few minutes make a big difference in terms of available light for taking pictures. As well, oftentimes one has to photograph on the move and through bus windows (with all the glare), because, for safety reasons, people are not always allowed off the bus to approach wildlife. For us, the best part of the tour was to find out where the Banff wildlife hotspots are and to revisit them on our own, in order to safely view and take pictures of animals from our car on our own schedule. Therefore, we are overall happy to have taken the tour.

Neil V. was a great commentator - keeping the flow. Though seeing the Elk harem during our last few minutes really boosted the enjoyment of the trip (we did see horned sheep earlier). He knows his stuff and and kept it moving.

Such a great experience!!! I highly recommend the interactive tour - feeding the wolf dogs treats is such a cool experience!! They are a non-profit organization so the money is used directly toward the animals, so it is MORE than worth it! :)

My husband, his elderly mother and myself went to Yamnuska Wolf dog Sanctuary for the interpretive tour. The staff were more than obliging to allow us to take my mother in law's walker with us but a staff member would remove it from the enclosed so as not to frighten the wolves. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wolves. I would highly recommend Yamnuska for a visit!!!!

We went on a wildlife tour guided by Chris Lewis. Despite not seeing much wildlife Chris did all he could to make the time informative and enjoyable. Chris interacted well with our group and drove very responsibly. We would definitely recommend them. Paul and Gillian Finlayson

We used Discover Banff Tours for a 9 hour Icefields Tour. From the moment we met our guide Emma we knew it was going to be a fun day. She was fun, witty, had great stories about the area and was a good driver. She was available to take photos of us at just the right moments too! The tour took us to 3 lakes and some great viewing points and up to the Athabasca Glacier which was really cool. Peyto Lake was breath taking and our favorite stop. Lunch was great by the Saskatchewan River and we had enough food that lasted all afternoon. My biggest concern prior to the trip was our transportation. I have a bad back and neck. The small bus we rode in was so comfortable with thick cushy seats that were amazing! Best seats I have ever sat in. Booking was a snap and the staff are helpful and friendly. We were picked up on time at our hotel and everything was highly satisfactory. Emma was our tour guide and driver for the entire trip and her enthusiasm never waned. Worth every penny. They were half the cost of a competitor. So glad we discovered them!

My friend and I did the Marble Canyon Snowshoe trip this week. We have both lived in Calgary forever but found it fun to be tourists in our own backyard. Becky, our guide, was phenomenal. She was friendly and prepared, and made us all feel incredibly welcome. She knew Canadian history and the area well- sharing names of mountains, geography, and interesting facts. The trip was well paced and good for all levels. She and her 2 helpers were always available for assistance or questions. Becky even boiled up maple syrup on a propane stove so we could make gooey maple popsicles in the snow. Becky also took the time to personally escort each of us out of the van at the drop points to say a personal goodbye. The little things matter! We highly recommend this company (and especially BECKY). We got the tickets on groupon which made us feel like we stole the day. Views, snow and weather were also exceptional. Thank you for making it a memorable Valentines Day.

Becky was a great tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and very personable. Our group was fairly large (12) and she remembered everyone's name. I would definately recommend doing the Johnston canyon tour!!

Did the Johnston Canyon Tour and snowshoeing through Marble Canyon. Great tours. Glenn was our tour guide for snowshoeing and he was funny and awesome. I forget the first guide's name for the canyon but he was also amazing. Glad we went.

It happened to be a great day for the 4 hour ice tour. The tour guide, Matt, was pleasant and knowledgeable throughout the Johnston Canyon tour as well as the travel time in between pick up and drop off. It is definitely achievable by all ages and activity levels. We had many moments to rest and the sights were great. I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend to others.

I did the 4 Hour Snowshoe Guided Tour. I was extremely disappointed. My expectation was a 4 hour snowshoe. Less travel time, lots of just standing around time, I think we may have snowshoed for an hour. In sub -20 temperatures the standing around was unbearable. Recommended for the unfit who just want to have the experience of putting snowshoes on their feet. Plus side..the hosts were delightful.
