Nice place but can get a little busy. No pool or playground that I could see
Nice short trails if looking for somewhere for a quick nature walk, has maps everywhere too which are helpful and breaks them down into big and long walks depending on what you’re going for
Great park. Lots of open space and great trails
Not much here other then a few walking trails and a picnic area that's covered. Used to be a good park as it offered a gun range and training center for firearms and Hunter safety until a lawyer from the city moved nearby and pulled strings to get it shut down only to move away not long after. Again another fine example of city people moving north spoiling things again for country people.
Lots of trails to hike and bike on, nice pavilion for shelter from sun and rain. Great activities for kids.
Amazing space not quite super wild, but not city park either. Serene. Spectacular old-world remnants of structures, fun elevation-shifting walks. Park gates close at 4:30PM, so park outside if you plan and staying longer. One of my fav. places in ON.
Gorgeous hiking close to the city with beautiful marked trails. There are options for shorter hikes or as far as 7 kms. By far the favorite is the bog boardwalk
A lovely walk down the trail to the creek, especially in the winter time. Nice forest and breath good air of the wildlife
Great place for hiking through beautiful forested land. Nice escape from the city, not far from Toronto so it is easily accessible.
Took the children for a hike on two separate occasions. The trails are easy enough for little children but are exciting. There are some climbs and descents to keep things interesting. Also, the scenery changes from meadow to woodland to deep forest to boardwalk through the bog--so it's fun to see what's next.
Very well-marked trails and handy maps available at the entrance. The trails join from one to the next so you can decide if you want to keep going or if you want to turn back.
I'd recommend Cold Creek Conservation area for a great place to hike with the family. Just bring your water and your bug spray! There are lots of mosquitoes!
