Only place that you can get motorcycles keys cut. They were helpful and fast. Shop looks about 30 years old and in ordered chaos.

Our go to place for keys and locks. We own and operate apartment buildings across the city and have been using Burnetts for years. After thousands of keys and hundreds of rekeyed locks over that time, we haven't had any that didn't work perfectly.

Always the place to go for key and lock related needs, great people. My last visit I needed an automotive lock cylinder and they even had a replacement unit in stock. Very happy, again.

Needed to make an appointment to have someone come out and install a new lock, so I did. Appointment time comes around, no one is there. I phone to confirm they are coming, I get "no, they are out of town today, we'll reschedule for next week." I can't wait that long as I've already waited almost a week, so I tell the person on the phone that, and there is no apology, no offer to schedule a better time. They couldn't have cared less that they lost my business. Awful service. No one seems to know what's going on.

I have heard great things about Burnett's Keys, have had great service in the past, and I have seen great customer interactions between the staff and the customers - at least with the older gentlemen. The younger employee I feel would be best suited not to interact with customers.
I brought a lock cylinder to the shop on a Thursday in order to have a key cut to replace the missing one. This young buck was pleasant when I dropped it off and stated he would call me mid-afternoon when it was ready. I did not receive a call so I figured they were busy. I called at 4 pm the next day to which the young lad stated that "they'll be done by the time you get here." When I got to the shop the eldest employee of the bunch checked the keys and was not satisfied with how they worked (they didn't work at all), so he said that they would fix it for me before feeling comfortable enough to sell it. I appreciated that very much.
Monday comes along, Tuesday, Wednesday, still no call. I stop in Thursday morning (today), and that nice older guy was the one to assist me again. Luckily, the key worked fine and I paid for the service. Here's the thing though, when I walked into the store, the young chap made eye contact with me, turned around, and decided to walk to the back of the store and stand there while efficiently doing nothing. I got his attention before I left and asked why he failed to call me at any time in the last 5 business days. Looking down at the yellow slip in front of him he figured, to the best of his judgment, the most appropriate answer would be "I don't know we were busy who cares."
Burnett's, it's been swell. That little bag of cojones needs to either learn some manners, customer appreciation, interpersonal communication skills, or get stuffed in the back somewhere out of sight. I give the older gentlemen 5/5 stars, but for the sake of this kid, I give you a 2/5. I couldn't justify a single star, again, because you guys do great work.response / report this review -

Required a unique key for import motorcycle that they didn't have, but owner somehow created one out of a Volkswagen key. He didn't even charge me for it. Highly recommended.

Keys are always a great fit.
I had an odd sized key and none of the shops in town had the right blank. Everyone just turned me away and told me to "wait until one comes in".
An older guy at Burnett's (the owner?) made me a custom key by grinding down the head of a similar key. It turned out great!response / report this review
