Stopped by Broken Paddle on Saturday morning for the first time. Was extremely impressed by both the quality of their products and the service received! I typically don't write reviews, but this hidden gem in Keewatin (even though its right on the hwy), certainly deserves it! Will absolutely have to make this a regular stop every time we head into town.

My families experience was very poor. I had to prompt the server for lunch and kids menus even though it was after 11:30am. My wife and I ordered two of their specials and were both disappointed and felt they were over priced.

Love this place. This is hands down my husband and I's favourite place to eat in Kenora. Service is always great and the food is amazing. Yummy pizzas and the most delicious baking & coffee plus very kid friendly.
We had lunch there today with our 1 year old daughter and the waitress brought over a colouring sheet and asked if she might want to colour. She even went above and beyond and coloured in a little mushroom for her.response / report this review -

We spent last night at the Brewers Inn-attached to the Broken Paddle
Dinner-Curry for me and Mussels for Frank with some of the beer from their brewery. Very good food, fast service and very well presented. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable night at the Inn
The waffles this morning wee the best I have ever had. Their coffee from their own roastery is fabulous enough that we are taking some home
We can't say enough about the people and the food. Thanks for a great experience

I went into the Broken Paddle on July 6 for the first time excited to try the new restaurant for lunch on our anniversary. On entry, there were several people just inside the door. Two ladies came in behind us. We all waited to see if we should wait to be taken to a table. There were people paying and others waiting for coffee. After a few minutes one of the ladies asked the staff behind the counter if we should just find a table and was told yes. We all headed in to find tables. Only four or five tables were occupied so we chose one outside on the patio. After waiting five minutes with no server at the table my brother-in-law went to get us menus. Then we watched a server visit a table of two near us who had finished glasses of water or lemonade, to give them menus. The server apologized for the wait and explained that it takes a long time to make a latte for someone at the counter. We waited five more minutes and decided to leave because the two staff could not handle the service and we did not want to wait forever for our food. We went to a restaurant on Main Street in Keewatin and a server greeted us at our table as we sat down with menus. The Broken Paddle will not survive with the understaffing that we saw that day.

Everything is high quality, well done, and delicious. Their specials are hands-down the most creative dishes that you can find in Kenora and are always good (ps, please do the braised pork-belly again). I would recommend this restaurant to any local or anyone that is just visiting.

I was at the broken paddle Saturday morning, the service started very slow but once we were given menus, service was amazing, we were given complementary coffee due to our wait, once we ordered our food came quickly. I ordered the waffles with whiskey maple syrup and my boyfriend had the quiche with a salad, both exceeded our expectations and were so good! It was probably the best waffles I've ever had in Kenora! We will definitely be back :)

Sitting at Broken Paddle - no one is in here. 2 of the kids go and sit on the couch (Sit NOT jumping around) waitress comes around and says my boss asked if the kids could sit at the table and NOT move My reply was they are kids and no one is in here They are NOT running around or being loud I replied well guess you aren't kid friendly and we won't ever be coming back & I will be letting everyone know! I'm sorry it's ridiculous and REALLY turned me off of this place. Way to go Broken Paddle!

Loved the service and the atmosphere. The food was absolutely delightful, the chef should be featured in a magazine due to her work and dedication. The coffee is one of a kind and puts Tim Hortons and Starbucks to shame. The owners should be very happy with the gem they have created in the little town of kenora. This is definitely one of my all time favorite places to eat and will be returning any chance I get.

Terrific music at Toast and Jam this noon! Believe the hype--the space and people on staff are atypically non-Kenoran amazing! Absolutely on point. Serious case of food envy watching each order come by. The risotto balls and beef sandwich we spilt were out of this world delish. Homemade chips? Yes, please!

The coffee is great, the flavor sneaks right up on you! Looking forward to another weekend treat in keewatin! But when does the coffee liquor bar open in behind, I'm thinking rum chata front rowgreat job on branding, staff and layout, another home run for kenora!

Continuously stop in for coffee It's delish! Love that you have vegan/vegetarian options along with non-dairy milk for our coffee's. Not many places have that option for us. Much appreciated from this family �

The charcuterie board is a must try if you want to try new flavours, from the vegan cheese to the pickled watermelons and carrots! If you're looking for a boozy drink, I highly recommend the homemade lemonade or the Coney Island :)

Tonight we picked up a beautiful family meal to go. Chicken Pot Pie and salad. The presentation was lovely, service was excellent, price point was very good and most importantly the food was delicious!

Just got home and had an amazing time! We had a private party with at least two dozen people and it was awesome. Food and service was on point! Great, kid friendly atmosphere. Very impressed. We will definitely be back!

Great food, great service and great atmosphere. Was there for dinner this past weekend and sat out on the patio. Very nice. Look forward to going back and trying their fresh roasted coffee (we were drinking wine!!!).
