We knew when they finished the bathroom it was far from perfect - given the crazy installation of the shower hardware. Renovating the one bathroom took them over a year in 2014. ..Most recently, 7 years later, we've learned the hard way that the toilet had been installed crookedly and the sink overflow is not hooked up. So far the tile work has help up. Overall, not a good experience generally.

We're very happy that we chose Blue Ocean Construction via the Home Depot for our two-bath reno. Our contractor Hazim is outstanding. He was very helpful answering my inquires in the begging after the free estimate. The quote he provided was accurate. No hidden costs through and through. A fix-priced project. Hazim led the whole thing with a quite clear plan on what was gonna happen each week, and the work he and his guys did was totally on point! A few things that needed patching up, he just came and did it!
Donna from the office was also helpful. Great teamwork with clear responsibilities! We highly recommend them!
Project duration - 2 months with Xmas in between.

We hired their services for bathroom renovation (replacing a tub with a walk in shower). Vladimir and his crews did an excellent job and we are happy with the result. Dona in office was very professional. Overall, very satisfied.

Blue Ocean Construction renovated my condo bathroom. I have hired them through Home Depot, and they have sent their contractor Ben Brzovic to complete work.
From day one everything went smoothly. Ben was really pleasant to work with, knowledgeable and helpful. The quality of work is top class and the best part was excellent every day communication. That way I knew exactly what to expect and how project is progressing. Work was done as promised and on time. Didn't have a single issue with this contractor and company and would recommend them and go again with them.response / report this review -

I went to Home Depot last week for a complete washroom reno. They contacted Blue Ocean Construction. They (BOC) phoned me got some info and then they said they'd call back. This morning I got a call from the contractor who said it was going to cost between $12,000 and $15,000 to get the washroom done. Without seeing it, without giving details. Bye bye Blue Ocean, bye bye Home Depot!

We engaged Blue Ocean Construction to built a playground at our childcare center, and were very happy with their performance and with the outcome.
The project involved working with our municipality and local school board to obtain permits/approvals, and Blue Ocean was patient and effective in meeting the requirements.
Blue Ocean executed the project with good communication, cost control, and appreciation of the importance of this playground for our business and reputation, since it is used by many families in our community.
The quality of design, materials, and workmanship is top notch, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Blue Ocean to others.

We hired BOC to build our custom home and as nervous as we were because this was our first build, Mike was amazing from beginning to end. Right from the beginning working within our tight budget, Blue Ocean Construction not only respected all of our ideas and choices in finishing, they also followed through with every detail and this allowed for us to really feel confident in the finished product:) we will continue to refer clients to them, hopefully one day building again for us!! - I was promised the work would be finished be Christmas it was not finished until 2 months later.
- After 1st weeks not work was started. Then a large shipment of drywall shows up on my drive way from RONA. 2nd week someone shows up in a white minivan and took a sheets of drywall and drove off with it. Maybe to a different customer???
- After 2 ½ weeks the work started. A had dumpster bags on my driveway that were full and ready to go. After work I heard this loud scraping noise outside of my house. It was the same white minivan, same guy dragging a broken bath tub on my drive way and dumping it into the waste bags.
- I wasn’t informed that they would be spraying lacquer on the baseboards, ahead of the time and it was the strongest chemical odor imaginable. I had to leave the windows open in -25 Celsius all night, rewash all my clothes and bedding. Due to the over powering smell. They had to open the deck door but broke the blinds and also killing all my plants due to the cold.
- I paid 1’200 in extra plumbing fee’s, was told that it had to be paid to his company and not home depot because it would cost less.
I found a contractor from Kijiji that restored my trust. Smaller Contractors in Calgary can be trusted over the larger big named companies.response / report this review
