Great company to deal with. They helped our company out of a tight timeline to get the customized access panels to our job site.

The customized access door to hide and allow access to a bathtub faucet arrived safely with good instructions. However, it was beyond a DIYer's ability because of the placement of the access door in a tight bathroom corner. I hired a professional who had to improvise the installation by placing it on top of the existing drywall instead of behind it as instructed. Also, to be able to open and remove the panel door, he turned the access door upside down. It works fine.

I ordered a custom door and it was built as specified and shipped promptly. There were some small imperfections in the paint and one of the corner seams deviated by about a millimeter, but nothing too serious. I liked how the customer service handled my request to not have the door delivered while I was out on vacation.

We had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with Best Access Doors (BAD). After receiving a door that was hinged on the top side instead of the pictured left side in all of their online images, they refused to allow us to return or exchange for another door that would work. The item was not listed as final sale, but because it was not "in stock" they said they couldn't provide a refund or exchange.

When we inquired about why the hinge location varied from the photo and was not listed on the product page description as being hinged on the long side, the rep told us that they needed to update their listing, but still would not provide any sort of compensation or return.

Since we paid via PayPal and after reading through BAD's listing and policies a second time, we went ahead and opened a claim since the product was grossly misrepresented on the product page. It took nearly a month to come to a resolution, with BAD requesting that we ship the door back at our expense to an address in Canada instead of their New York distribution address. This cost us nearly double in return shipping, plus customs forms.

Two days after we dropped the door off with UPS, we received a call from one of their customs brokers because there was an issue clearing customs, and they were having trouble reaching BAD. Again, this was a further complication brought about by BAD requiring us to ship the door back to their factory in Canada instead of the warehouse it was shipped from in NY.

Ultimately, we did receive a refund for the door, less our $50 shipping costs back to Canada. I would not mess with Best Access Doors unless you are 100% certain that the door they have will meet your specs and be careful even then because the information on their website is not accurate. Very frustrating and time consuming process with poor customer service.

Terrible time with Access Doors Canada. After speaking on the phone with one of their customer service representatives who I gave a specific opening I needed an access panel for (including dimensions) they recommended 1 particular product which I purchased. I find out that the access panel DOES NOT fit and is too big for the area. Asking for Access Doors Canada to take some sort of responsibility for their mistake I was told I could send it back but there would be a re-stocking fee and I would have to pay for the shipping back. I had already paid for the initial shipping and was provided an incorrect product for what I asked for. No responsibility was given, however they told me I could purchase another access panel that would guarantee to fit, however I am on the hook for the one that does not based on their recommendation in the first place. Do not do business here if you want to be treated fairly.
