We arrived ten minutes late, but we were still able to get a stylist. Angel was very sweet and nice. They offer tea, coffee and water, and the whole place just feels welcoming.

Super chic and friendly atmosphere. You feel incredibly welcome from the moment you walk through the door. I usually see Leslie, but the whole staff is incredibly talented and knowledgable, they offer water and tea and its such a neat place. They have so many services, including nails, so you can get a manicure while you wait for your dye to set!

I got a baliyage w Cara, she's very easy to talk to and someone who has lots of experience w colouring. She gave me great suggestions and helped me pic the colours I like. The first time the colour didn't come out quite right then she worked with the hair again, did her magic and made the colour the way we discussed. Love her passion for her work, she's very profession. Would highly recommend her!

Friendly front of house staff with lovely tea and coffee options. Cara is warm and receptive to my style needs. Love the online booking option though a bit clunky to use.

I was in the other day and I can't say enough good things about it. Jessica cut my hair and she was awesome. I really appreciated her. Everything was clean and they got me in promptly. Parking wasn't the easiest but I was also in during rush hour. I would highly recommend Jessica and Berns and Black.

Cara is fantastic, she works with what I want, but isn't afraid to give her opinion when she doesn't think what I want will work or is best for what she knows about me personally. Also brought my daughter here. Jessica was wonderful with her and asked her what she wanted wanted, not just me. My daughter loved it, and her hair is adorable.

I've been seeing Cara for more than 4 years now. She did my hair for my wedding (fabulous), and a month later chopped off the 10 extra inches I had grown just for the purpose of "wedding hair". I was thrilled with the shorter cut as well. The salon is very professional, I've never been kept waiting more than a couple of minutes past my appointment time. I also love the products they carry. Won't be switching salons anytime soon!

I've been going to Berns & Black since it opened, to follow my stylist. I love the service I get there as well as the atmosphere of the place. It's fancy but not stuffy, the staff are amazing and they keep up with the latest technology without shoving new hair productsat you every time you come in. The way we book appointments is also accurate and easy. I also love the fact that Kitty is trying her best to adapt her shop to make the operation more environmentally friendly. So not only are you getting great quality service, you are buying into an environmentally conscious salon concept. One day they may be entirely off grid! You may pay a bit more for that type of service, but it's a concept I can support.
