Because we were researching ideas, and costs for all new window treatments for our house we did our research by attending 3 other window covering businesses in the Kitchener Waterloo area.
When first attending this location, the only staff member working was busy and took our name and number and said she would call we she was finished. That was on a Wednesday afternoon. Not receiving a call we called on Friday to set up an appointment with whomever to visit and offer suggestions etc. Appointment kept, measurements taken and a rough estimate was provided for the living room only. We were then advised that a full offer would be forthcoming later that day or the next day. One week later and still no estimate, after calling the estimate arrived. Reviewing same,what was quoted made for interesting reading. For the "office" (aka bedroom) was 85% less than what was suggested for the other 2 bedrooms. Did either woman ask what we might be interested in for these 3 "bedrooms" -- NO Are we impressed with the service we received -- NO Would we recommend Bauhaus to any of our friends -- NO. The costumer service at the other 2 locations were extremely helpful in that they "picked our brains", and offered several different ideas and provided us with an estimate right away. As I was taught years ago in Business 101 -- you snooze, you lose and one of your competitors win.response / report this review -

Love my new drapes. Stephanie was very professional and gave me her honest opinion on what would look good, from pleats to hardware. They look amazingvery pleased!

The Bauhaus team helped us choose the Hunter Douglas Duette blinds. They are exactly what we needed for our space! The team was very helpful by showing us various possibilities and measuring our windows to the perfect fit. Thanks so much!

It has been a horror story with Bauhaus. Stefanie from Bauhaus came to our house on July 5, 2017 and now it's
September 18th! The first products that were installed 2 shutters for my daughters room and a Hunter Douglas Powerview Cell for our ensuite skylight. The blind for the skylight was put up broken, dirty! The shutters for my daughters bedroom came in the wrong louver size and it was split half opening on top different on the bottom when I told Stefanie that I wanted them the same as all the other shutters in our house. They had to remove the damaged skylight and reorder new shutters.
They came back after many weeks, Trever the installer opened the new shutters and they were chipped, dented! So these had to go back, the skylight blind was put up and it doesn't close properly! We have never had an experience with a store/company like this! Also when I was ordering the skylight blind Stefanie did not explain how when this product is put in the direction of the sky it is very light when I explained that we needed a blind that blocked the light at night and the morning (as the skylight was in our ensuite and it was so bright all the time). This was installed and does not close properly. Now I sit here so upset with still all these problems that I am at a loss. I want the correct blind in the skylight and my daughters shutters fixed but I have no confidence left in Bauhaus! I have called, emailed our concerns and no one replies even Don from Bauhaus hasn't returned my husbands email or had a call concerning the terrible merchandise, salesperson etc.
I wanted to say "BUYER BEWARE!" Do not order from this company, if you do I warned you.response / report this review
