I've been to Autodesk several times. Not many people know that Autodesk has an office in Toronto because it purchased Alias Wavefront, the software developer of Maya, which won the academy award for technical achievement. Almost all movies that have visual fx or animation in them are created in Maya, a program created here in Toronto. The academy award is on display at their offices. Autodesk now uses Maya to design cars, buildings and pretty much 80% of all manufactured items are made in Maya. A Richard Trus review
