  Pump Prime was online, owner is nice, good to see a friendly face and an arcade still kicking in this day and age. Would be good if you guys could update the fighting games (Get a console on a coin mech?) and maybe upgrade Maximum Tune 3 to 3DX+ (cabs are so cheap now). All the best!

  Place is not in good condition and that matches also the quality of the machines. It's ok if you just want to game a little bit (mostly on racing games). But, if you are a serious gamer, I suggest you do not go there. Sadly, it's the only arcade left in Montreal. Not remotely comparable to arcades in the United-States.

  I have been coming to this arcade since my early teens, so I must have been coming here for between 10-15 years. I am a fan of rhythm games and for a long time the DDR/Bemani scene revolved around arcades like this one. I have every game system and a great gaming computer so I only need to go to arcades for this social game. It's a weird scene, but it is important to me.
  
  
  
  Many of our other cherished arcades have gone with time. 222, Pinocchio's, The Recreateque, Decarie Arcade, all of these gone and all have taken their dancing games with them. Amusement 2000 is one of the last places around that isn't a movie theater that has an arcade, which is great because we don't want to wait around for decent movies to be released to play these games.
  
  
  
  I am sad to say that the past couple years have been rough for us who like these games a lot, and this arcade has kind of let things slide downhill and I have virtually stopped coming to this arcade because it's depressing.
  
  
  
  They had a problem with the ITG-2 (In the Groove) cabinet where people were abusing a system patch (known as the "R-21" patch) to play songs that were much longer than they were supposed to be. You weren't supposed to be able to play custom songs that were longer than 2-3 minutes, and it seems some patrons were abusing this feature with USB keys. I told the management (really nice guys) about this problem and how to fix it (it would have been very easy to do), but instead they sold their only good dancing game machine. If it ain't broke fellas, why do that?
  
  
  
  Their other machine, (a very old classic DDR machine) has since kicked the bucket, and we are left with a terrible korean machine called Pump it Up 2015.
  
  This machine is complete trash.
  
  
  
  It is terrible because it encourages the wrong kind of people who abuse and break your machines, and lo and behold I came by to see if they got the old DDR machine fixednope..and keypads on the new korean machine are all broken. The button arrangement on this machine is different (likely because of copyright issues with Konami who own the rights to the traditional dancing machine design), but it is also counter-intuitive, leading people to stomp on the machine like animals when their combos are disrupted. A guy I watched play today butchered the shattered pedals worse than any kid in snowboots I've ever seen.
  
  
  
  The worst part is that the judge difficulty on this machine is broken, it is virtually impossible to lose. So people play and play full length songs all the time, which reproduces the problem management had with the first machinepeople abusing the length of their play times!
  
  
  
  I don't know what the deal is with them getting rid of their good machines or letting their classic systems fall into disrepair, but it sucks. Some people go to arcades for the nostalgic ambiance, some people like fighting games, guitar games, racing games, macho punching bag simulators, but for me the unique thing about arcades are the social games like dancing games. Montreal used to have an active dancing game culture and it has gone the way of the dodo because of arcade management who don't have a clue what it's about.

  The pinball machines need maintenance. The price is fair if the machines were in good shape, but broken toys and weak flippers won't bring me back

  Nous étions un groupe de 30 jeunes qui avaient réservés durant la nuit et lorsque nous sommes arrivés en autobus, c’est à notre grande déception que nous avons constaté que les arcades étaient en rénovations un simple appel ou courriel aurait été apprécié pour nous éviter tout le voyagement pour absolument rien!

  l'odeur de sueur et de petit pied ,toilette qui mériterais une inspection et des machine d'arcade ordinaire ..je ne retournerais jamais à cet endroit. Dépense inutile ..
