Food was good and cooked properly, bread is cheap and not a Portuguese bread you would serve to your family, I can guarantee you dont serve this at home.Bread was kinda like the bread you would buy from local store. No effort there guys. Butter was in the commercial packets prepack whipped commercially that you collect off the table and use if no one used them. You have totally commercialized the restaurant . The deck was dirty with lots of debris. between the slats in the flooring .It was plain to see that the deck hasn't been power washed in a long time. washrooms caulking around sink was dirty.Your getting good money for your food, at minimum give us some value .Your getting what you deserve, 2 stars for commercializing the restaurant. Would I go back?, maybe for scared when people neglect their family business..Somebody needed to tell you , so I did.

We always make a point of having a meal on the patio at Amadeu's when we visit Kensington Market. The patio is shady, the food is delicious, and the service is friendly and good. In our opinion it's by far the best place for a relaxing meal in the Market.

We went there as they catered our wedding 20 years ago. We have gone back off and on over the years. Hadn't been for a few so yesterday we ventured back. The waitress knew nothing about the menu. We asked about a couple of dishes and her response was i don't know . Ok I can live with that so they must not train you on the menus items. So we order the Portuguese style steak with fried egg and potatoes. It was flavour less sauce had no flavour at all. The potatoes which are deep fried were extremely greasy and tasted like they had been fried in old cooking oil. My husband ordered the salted cod with potatoes and veggies. Waitress order the wrong dish and brought us a different fish dish. When she brought it to the table I questioned her and asked if it was the cod . She said yes it was . Well after taking the first bite I knew it was not salt cod. So we send that back. And she was going to order my cod. Since the steak dish wasn't very good I canceled the fish dish altogether. The manager I assume ( as he never introduced himself) came to our table asked what was wrong I explained he did apologize. Then asked if I wanted some rice or salad. My answer was no. Minutes later he brings out a plate with dessert and two spoons and told us dessert was on them for the inconvenience. Well dessert was a glass full of cool whip for he most part , and not good . We then wait for the bill which never came. I had to ask for it we get the bill with both dishes on it . Then she says oh it's wrong . Take it back and only charged us for the steak dinner . Which was fine even through we only ate the steak and left everything else. Very disappointed. Service and over all good use to be so good . Clearly and that's why we had them cater our wedding 20 years ago. I won't ever go back.
