Applications are now being accepted for the Adam Herold Hockey & Leadership Development program for the 2019-20 hockey season. This year's camps in Balcarres and Gravelbourg were a huge success. The hockey and leadership development camps are a partnership between host communities and the Adam Herold Legacy Foundations. Deadline to apply is March 22.

On February 24th we will be at the Pat Canadians Game selling apparel from 2:00-4:00 at the Co-operaters Centre (Game starts at 3:00)

Our community hockey camps couldn’t happen without great coaches. Mike Blaisdell, Darrin McKechnie, Todd Liskowich, Todd Strueby, Matt Strueby, Rod Houk, Jordan Reeve, Rod McLeod, Chad Mazurak, Jordan Trach, Ty McGauley, and Danny Yaskowich have been at the Balcarres and Gravelbourg camps, encouraging the players to try hard and do their very best. Thanks so much for being part of our inaugural hockey camps!

This year, the Foundation held hockey camps in Gravelbourg and Balcarres. As part of these camps, each participant is asked to make a positive impact on their community by helping others through volunteer work. One of the highlights of the January camps was hearing about the various ways the players spend time making a difference in and around their hometowns. Here are just a couple examples. Great job!

There are some great items up for grabs including - signed Bobby Hull jersey - tickets to an Ottawa Redblacks vs. Saskatchewan Roughriders game in Ottawa - tickets to a Winnipeg Jets game And so much more!
All proceeds will go towards Montmartre Arena renovations in memory of Adam.

Just a reminder about Montmartre Minor Hockey Day in memory of Adam Herold taking place January 26th.
The day will feature minor hockey games, and a remembrance ceremony followed by an alumni game featuring the Montmartre Rivals and the Beaudin Pond Kings.
There will also be some great raffle and auction items!

Also over the break, the Kamloops International Bantam Ice Hockey Tournament (KIBIHT) presented 13-year-old Rylan Davis with the Adam Herold Award, presented to a player who shows great courage and perseverance. Adam participated in the KIBIHT tournament during his time playing with Prairie Storm and was named the tournament’s top defenceman and a first-team all-star in 2016. We are very touched that KIBIHT has established this award in memory of Adam. You can read more about Rylan in the link below.

After a couple weeks away, we’re back at it. There have been a few things happening over the last while so please bear with us as we provide updates on some of the recent Foundation activities and other related information. First up: on January 5th, the Foundation returned to Gravelbourg for our second weekend hockey camp. Even with many families still away for the Christmas break, there was a full roster of kids and two great days of fun and learning. Thanks so much to Gravelbourg co-ordinator Jordan Brisebois and his crew for all of their behind-the-scenes work to make both weekends a success. We would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. The love, support, prayers, encouragement and help that has been extended to our family since April 6th has been overwhelming and greatly appreciated. Every kind word and gesture from our family, friends and even complete strangers has touched our hearts and will never be forgotten. We will be going 'off the grid' for a couple weeks as we take a short break over the holidays. Posts will resume early in the new year!

Best of luck to the Pat Cs as they head to Calgary to defend their championship title at the Mac's AAA tournament. Prior to leaving for the Mac's tournament last year, Adam was called up to play a couple games with the Prince Albert Raiders, where he was interviewed by local media following the game. He told the reporter his goal was to lead the Pat Cs to a gold medal win at the annual Macs tournament -- a goal Adam and his team accomplished. The interview is about two minutes long if you'd like to take a listen:

Just a reminder about the Montmartre Rivals & Balgonie Bison alumni game taking place this Saturday (Dec. 22nd) at 5 pm in Balgonie.
Earlier in the afternoon, Prairie Storm is retiring Adam’s #10 (at 12:45 pm) followed by a memorial game between Prairie Storm Bantam AA and Humboldt (at 2 pm). We will also have apparel for sale at the game.
The Rivals/Bison will hit the ice immediately following the Prairie Storm/Humboldt game and will play two, 30 minute periods.
Please share this post and help spread the word about these events. We'd love to see a great crowd come out to support both the Bantam and Alumni games!

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Adam Herold Legacy Foundation Returns Home Event at the Montmartre Rink on Saturday. Coaches ran the players through various drills on ice and also spent time talking to them about leadership and how they can make a difference in their community. This camp was extra special for a couple of reasons: it was held at the rink where Adam first learned to skate and play hockey and a number of his Pat C teammates gave up their Saturday to come out to help coach. Thanks to Jack Glen, Carter Belitski, Cole Sillinger, Johnny Carmichael and Blake Swetlikoff for coming out and encouraging our Montmartre and area players to work hard and have fun!

We are pleased to be hosting the Adam Herold Legacy Foundation Returns Home Event this Saturday at Montmartre Rink. This event is an intensive hockey and leadership development camp for Montmartre Minor Hockey in the same rink where Adam spent many hours throughout the years. It’s a small way for us to show our gratitude for all the community has done and what it meant to Adam and the Herold family.
We will also have a apparel available on Saturday at the rink for those interested from 11-2! The Montmartre Pharmasave has also been restocked with apparel!

It was special day yesterday in Montmartre when the Prince Albert Raiders stopped for a visit and community skate. This is the rink where Adam started skating at the age of 2 and where his hockey career began. The Raiders were treated to a home cooked meal following their time on the ice. Thanks so much to Montmartre School, Montmartre Rink and the Prince Albert Raiders for making this happen.

We’re excited to launch the Foundation’s website in the coming days. The website talks about Adam and how the Foundation was established to make a difference in the lives of others. Visitors to the site will also be able to support the ongoing work of the Foundation by making a donation online.
It’s been a lot of work and learning behind the scenes and we’re excited to know what you think! We will post the link as soon as it’s live!
