Curcumin (a compound found in turmeric) is a wonderful anti-inflammatory and can be helpful in alleviating some of the inflammatory symptoms of RA.

This brings to light the importance of proper concussion management and the many areas of opportunity for such injuries within sports in general. I've recently been certified through CCM so please don't hesitate to contact me should you have questions regarding concussion management.

" If a #concussion is suspected following a hit, rest is needed! Your brain is in a very vulnerable state during this time; a second hit could be extremely detrimental to recovery, or worse. Athletes: just because you feel fine, does not mean you are. Coaches: when in doubt, sit them out! You only get one brain, take good care of it. #playersafety #education "

An interesting study (RCT) on Chiropractic and infant colic.

In this study, chiropractic manual therapy improved crying behavior in infants with colic. The findings showed that knowledge of treatment by the parent did not appear to contribute to the observed treatment effects in this study. Thus, it is unlikely that observed treatment effect is due to bias on the part of the reporting parent.http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23158465

Yummy shake this morning - frozen mango - kale (has a very high % of vitamin A & K a little goes a long way) - frozen cherries (cherries are a great source of vitamin C and iron) - a tablespoon of hemp hearts (hemp seeds contain essential fatty acids necessary for muscle and joint repair. They also contain an easily digestible protein called edestin. Edestin helps with the creation of antibodies, which in turn helps boost the immune system.) - add pomegranate juice and hot water :)

A few good things about watermelon. Just remember "Eat melon alone or leave it alone because it will make your stomach groan. So ideally, no food 30 minutes before or after eating melons!" http://articles.mercola.com/…/…/21/watermelon-nutrition.aspx

A great article"Consequently the longer we wait for the food industry to “do the right thing,” the longer we’ll remain mired in a world where the culture of convenience is so deeply entrenched in our lives that it will continue to be normal for parents to ensure their children leave home knowing how to play soccer and hockey, but not knowing how to cook." http://m.theglobeandmail.com/…/why-the-fo…/article18533537/…

Had a small tear in a muscle in my should blade. Pain was about an 8 and right shoulder was sitting about 2 inches forward of where it should be. A week of misery. The day after I saw Dr Reiz my pain was down to a 2 and my shoulder was back in place! Great Doctor and great personality!
