Ordered food online for the first time from this restaurant; usually, we go in and dine and absolutely love the food; when we ordered the food online and picked it up, we were quite disappointed with the portion size of the theee dishes we ordered; only half of the black containers were full of the dish and each dish is about $13-14; the portion sizes were not at all adequate for the three of us who were dining; I was very upset that for such an expensive dish, only half the container was full and I called the restaurant and complained; the man simply said that is the standard portion they serve but also said that the next time I want to order, I should give his name to make sure the container is full. Very upset; I will never order food online from this restaurant again. The dine-in portions are more adequate than the pick-up orders; I guess that is what you get when you get a 10% discount for pick up orders.
Good food and good quantity. They don't dump you with a lot of food. Have taken my clients there and have had great response.
We didn't how fancy this place until we walked in. Had the Chicken Thali which was super filling and tasty. The Chicken Vindaloo curry was the right amount of spicy.
Good place to take your clients for lunch, since is close the financial district. The food is good, however the service surely can do better. The waiter discouraged us to order ice cream for dessert, and when some of us insisted it came without any fuss. Not sure why it was not recommended when asked. And if it is not that good, why is it on the menu? Overall good! Maybe my waiter was going thru a bad day
The food is not your typical Indian restaurant. We went as a group of 10 from work and everyone loved their food. The garlic naan won praise from everybody.
I didn't really get the feel of the environment because when we came in for the first time we were put in the corner. The place was presentable, staff was welcoming, the food was good but I expected better quality food for the price. I've been to many other Indian restaurants which are cheaper and tasted equally as good or much better. Their washroom needed more attention.
Really cozy place. Feels like home. Food is great.
Being an Indian and having been brought up in India, I have very high standards for Indian food and this restaurant satisfied my standards for good, authentic Indian food!
The meats were tender and flavourful, a mark of effort and care put into the food. The dishes were presented well, the decor upscale and surroundings quiet.
I would highly recommend going during weekday afternoons for their special Thalis which are an eclectic mix of delightful, soul warming food! I was very impressed.
Chef was one of the nicest people I have met in Toronto. The waiters were the most horrible people. They clearly didn't like their job at all.
The food was however amazing. I am very critical of Indian food since I have grown up eating Indian food, but the difference dishes were yummy.
The food is superb and freshly prepared. The wait staff is super friendly and you will get really great service. Its a bit on the pricier end and it can get expensive quickly with all the extras so be sure you plan your menu before arriving to make sure you stay within budget!
One of my favourite Indian restaurants in the downtown core. The food here is a bit heavy but very delicious. The service is great and they do offer takeout as well. They have multiple floors so getting a table isn't very difficult. The service was also very good and they're fairly accommodating for personal requests. Their menu is fairly extensive so it's not very difficult to find a dish that would suit your personal palate. I would recommend trying their chilli naan which has a very balanced kick to it and goes incredibly with most of their dishes, especially if you like spicier foods. Definitely worth a visit for some delicious, genuine Indian food!
