So, I will discuss the cons first as the cons would be considered by most, to be deal breakers. Partner has been there for almost a week and has been unable to see a doctor. Doctor won't come visit to adjust medications unless there are several requests for his services. As a result, my partner has been sick and uncomfortable during the withdrawal process. This doctor primarily works out of Ottawa and has showed little effort in contacting my partner or getting past medical records. We have also been waiting 4 days for medication to deal with side effects that do not allow my partner to consume food. Doctor refuses to change the withdrawal medication protocols but will not contact or talk to my partner to address her personal requirements.

I understand protocols are there for a reason but not everyone is the same and people who deviate from the norm need to be addressed on a case by case basis. Of course, in order to do this, you need to actually meet with a patient. You need to look at past medical efforts and actually put effort into addressing the patient's needs. This did not happen. I could understand this behaviour from a free clinic, not from one you pay large sums of money towards in order to take care of your loved ones during this difficult time. This is why we paid, so we wouldn't have to worry about these things, yet here we are

Prosgreat counsellors and nursing staff who are doing their best to advocate for my partner. Great food and plenty of activities. Lodging is great with a amazing view. Perfect place to rehabilitate once the doctor issues gets sorted out.

I am giving this treatment facility five stars because of three counselors; Ashley, Glen and Kelsey. All three are among the sweetest people on the planet.
Ashley is quietly intelligent, she has a lot to teach and give and people better learn to listen up. Her guided meditations are something special, and not to be missed.
Kelsey is no nonsense, upfront, caring and gives excellent advice. She is an expert on tailoring her approach to individual clients, and she has a great sense of humour.
Glen is an absolute gem; he truly cares and is extremely empathetic. Anyone who does not listen to him is not worthy of his words. He has the power to make any gloomy day shine by the end of a single conversation.

I cannot stress enough the love and support that these three put out into the world. Without them, the centre is a shell. They have truly saved my life and I am forever grateful.

To anyone who is considering a facility that offers compassion and a chance at a better life, please consider this centre. I also wish to express the fact that I am not negating the effectiveness or care of the other counselors, I just formed a far stronger bond with these three for various reasons. Pay attention and respect all counselors present.

Thank you three for helping me to be the best version of myself.

Excellent centre to find peace and recovery. Beautiful views on the St. Lawrence River and nice new renovations. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. Great food and always very clean. They offer many activities to pass the time and aid the healing process. Highly recommended.

As parents living overseas, due to our career, we were searching for a Treatment Centre for our son. We thought we found a Treatment Centre in Toronto geared to meet the needs of our son after extensive research and numerous calls.
Our son relapsed shortly after his Program in fact we nearly lost him. The centre was not at all helpful which was disappointing to say the least.

We were referred to 1000 Islands Treatment Centre, to get our son back into Treatment, by a local Doctor whose daughter had completed her program at this Centre and continues a life of sobriety.

It's been almost 1 year and a few months since he completed his program at this 1000 Islands Centre.

Our Son has completed his Post Graduate degree, has a job, and Volunteers with helping others and continues to keep in touch with his Counsellor at the Centre.

In our experience, his Counsellor and the Staff are genuinely fully committed, knowledgeable, caring and Professionals.

Treatment anywhere is not cheap, however, there is no equivalency to saving our sons life. In fact my wife and I wished we found this Centre the first time.
To all the Staff Thank You, you have no idea the many sons and daughters alive today because of your selfless commitment.

1000 islands wellness and treatment centre is very professional. staff is really nice and talking from experience having been too 3 rehabs in Canada. this was the only rehab that met and exceeded my expectations and have been able to keep my sobriety for now a year. I am very pleased to say that this rehab is the nicest I've been too the food was awesome and the atmosphere was very soothing and people were great. id like to thank 1000 islands wellness and treatment centre for such a great experience and thanks for saving my life!!!!
