Nice base, good facilities. It's a little far from Placencia Village but on par with the top Moorings bases.

We just returned home from a sailing vacation with the Moorings/Sunsail in Placencia. The boat was well equipped, the staff were wonderful, and the weather and water couldn't be better We loved the sea life and coral. The waters were easy to navigate, as long as a "watch" was posted to look for coral heads. We found the preliminary briefing by Diego to be extremely helpful. Clearly, he's an expert on the area. We will certainly be back, hopefully sooner rather than later. :)

Chartered a cat and skipper through Moorings/Sunsail. The boat was in great shape. The skipper (Shane) was absolutely phenomenal. We had a couple mechanical issues over the course of the trip but none were overly significant and the maintenance boat was out to us in less than an hour (and back off 10 minutes later). I have absolutely no qualms about using these guys again. I don't know if all of the Moorings bases work as well as the Belize outpost, but I'm certainly willing to give it a shot.
