Very overpriced for a room with no aircon and right at the end of the strip. Didn't like that you had to pay for water refills.
perfect location for those with a smaller budget
Great spot. Very simple, but clean and comfortable. Bed bug awareness on check in is always appreciated. Cash is needed at check in.
A 10 minute walk from the center of town. Easy to walk to bars and restaurants, but also easy to sleep at night.
Superbement situées dans une petite allée qui donne sur la grève, 4 chambres impeccables à l’étage. Hamac, café le matin et un personnel aux petits soins. Pour le prix hyper abordable, c’est une aubaine. Coucher de soleil fantastiques
Absolutely the best possible location, right on the shore. Very affordable (April 2017). Best sunset I've seen in my life. A bit far from the shops though. Shared bathrooms but very clean. Laundry service available. I wish I could come back.
Sophie's Guest Rooms is a no-frills hostel. Just beds, and some shared bathrooms. It was great though, with a nice location up near the split and right on the water. Waking up and walking 20 feet to the water was a great way to start the day. If you go, make sure you say hi to Monica for me. She was the greatest part of the place, in my opinion.
Clean and reasonably comfortable, but for the price (~$30/night), I've gotten much better quality elsewhere. Take that with a grain of salt since almost all of Caye Caulker has the same vibe.
Thankfully, the screens on the windows seem to be intact without large holes, so mosquitoes inside weren't a problem during my stay. The doors had several locks, and I felt safe while inside and on the porch.
The WiFi is really weak and disconnects frequently, but it is better if you're close to the main office.
