It's at the middle of the town, has free WiFi for only one hour per person, has swing set and slides for children, has chairs for seating, most of the public events such as "lighting of the Christmas tree", "political rallies", "public church services" and many more are held there.
Salty smell in the atmosphere, nearby Garifuna drumming, fry fish on the go; it's all in a perfect day down in Punta Gorda Town. Unlike the other towns throughout Belize, Punta Gorda is so small. Like really, it actually very small; how I know is because I drove around town to find a hotel and literally you keep meeting the same side walkers at every street corner. But despite it's size, it has a lot of culture within it's street. From tasty street side sea food, to live cultural music, it's traditional paradise on earth. Every year the town celebrates some major events such as the High Tide Festival and Cocoa Festival. The people are mostly pleasant, once you don't interrupt in their business you should be fine. The town has all major credentials such as banks, gas stations, post office, internet cafes and water taxi. Over all this little sea side town has a marvelous environment, with great views of the Caribbean sea and nearby Honduran Mountains.
Kool and friendly environment near the Sea side.
