Really nice hotel and restaurant & bar, right on the water overlooking the bay. The owner Alan is a really nice guy. They have golf cart rentals, dive services, and private parking. Placencia is a really. Nice town.

This resort is off the beaten path but not to fear you can just borrow one of the hotels for free bicycles and ride to town or take a walk. You can be at the pier and the beginning of the sidewalk or in the middle of amazing restaurants in just over five minutes. We stayed in room 10, which is probably the best room in the hotel and worth the extra money for the huge (like 250 square foot balcony) and awesome views. In the bay in front of the hotels (or the back, depending on how you look at it) there are a ton of sailboats moored and the lights from them are pretty at night. It's very quiet here (and on the whole island at night.) We kayaked around the bay to the lagoon side and saw a cruise ship docked over at Harvest Caye on the way. We did not pay for the kayak which I think is also included in your room rental, but not completely sure as I saw a note on check in on rates to rent the kayaks. The room is simple and adequate. One thing to note is yes there is wifi and it's good, but it's only for the main dining area which has many tables and chairs. We got good service in our room and on the balcony, but are right above the open dining space so not sure you will get great wifi all over the hotel. The staff was super friendly and the food in the dining area is very good. They even accommodated me as a vegetarian and did a nice job with it. There's a lot of sea grass right off the hotel so not sure you want to swim in front of hotel, but just a few minutes away is a lovely beach by the pier. We really enjoyed out stay. I suggest you bring coffee with you (along with cream and sugar.) We had coffee on our balcony every morning and chilled. It's very quiet in the mornings and the water was calm and beautiful. I very much enjoyed my stay here!

Not what I was expecting. But for the price and the atmosphere it's a great place. The restaurant is very good!

Clean, cheap, on the beach and has a nice bar and great enchiladas. Really a great value and good people. I will stay again, not a luxury hotel, but 1/3 the cost of others with the same view.

This is everything what we look for vacation, Clean rooms, Safe box in each room, i hate keys so the r=main reason to give this resort a 5 star cause its code lock, very friendly employees-specially bryan nd eva, a jacuzzi on terrace , exactly on a beach and can use kayaking any time we want, close to atms and all commercials requirements.
It was worth and me n myself are so happy
    Thank you, Paradise Resort
