Unique site! We got there early to make sure we were the only ones there - about 6 a.m. Some hunters passed by on the edge of the site. There was a tense moment as I put my camera down and they shouldered their guns. Our dogs eyeballed each other with hair on end but no one was hurt. The site itself boasts rounded corners on the structures and are what makes this site unlike many others. The original red, white, and green paint can be seen on some of the stones. Worth a visit for any Mayan lover.

Out of the way, but certainly worth the trip. Small but interesting structures. Two features in particular stand out, one was this is the first Mayan site I've been to that has curved walls, next is the assortment of ball courts. There is a number of excellent specimens of 'GumboLimbo'/chakka trees. We were the only visitors the day we visited, making the experience extremely personal. There are other larger sites, but I suggest giving this site a chance.
