The motto on the island is go slow so be sure not to take an attitude of I must have it now. Order an appetizer if you need to eat fairly quickly as the wait can be a while. We never minded as we used the time to relax and visit.

I found La Cubana looking for a place to get some work done during the week. They turn out to how excellent food and kind people working there. It's a bit of a secret spot for anyone looking to get something done with decent wifi. Try the Cubana sandwhich if you're there for lunch.

Food was average at best. Service was not good. FYI, they add 5% for using a card to pay which is not noted anywhere on three menu or inside the establishment.

Food is amazing, the owner is a great advisor of the menu in front of the restaurant, offering the fresh catch of the day and sometimes the delicious roast pork ready to be eaten.

Never tried the hostel but the food is great. Stew chicken with 3 sides and 3 rum drinks for $15 Belize. Can't beat the value. We've tried several of their meals and it was all yummy.
