I just stopped for restrooms here, it was clean and good. I had a short talk with one of employees, he was very friendly and gave me very good information about my questions of some kinds of plants living in the area.

Beautifully maintained trails for all levels of hiking. And after a good hike, lounge in a tube and drift a peaceful river stretch. So much fun, and wildlife everywhere!

Great and friendly host. Only 20 BZD for a night in a "private" room (you do hear all other guests as there is on open area under the roof. Great location and tubing is fun but calm

The Nature Reserve gives you a change to see wildcats in the wild. You can make nice walks to some waterfalls where you can swim. When early you might see the tracks of a jaguar or Puma.
We stayed a night in a six person dorm
at the park head quarters. But because we where the only ones it was nice and very quiet. The fire flies gave us a show. Must do is a lazy and silent flow over the river in a tube (provided at the head quarters) with sunset. Best change to see a wildcat.
There is a kitchen and stove so you can cook your own food. Don’t forget to bring everything you need including food and insect repellent. The sandflies and misquotes are horrible.
We took a taxi in for 40 Belizian dollar one way. To be arranged at the shop in Maya Center Village down the road. Otherwise it’s a 10 km walk up or down.response / report this review -

I hope there have been many more visitors since I was there. It is a great way to see the jungle environment and get close to nature, even though the larger animals keep their distance. Well worth visit.

Don't expect to see jaquars, bit very nice place with well maintained trails. Beautiful scenery. Will go back to do more trails.

Amazing trails in the middle of the jungle. I could only take a short hike due to time constraints, but it was well worth it.

Fantastic paths in the middle of the jungle. We spent a whole morning inside and it has an incredible atmosphere. The tropical weather and the sounds of the animals and birds all around made it an intriguing walk. Taking a bath at the bottom of the waterfall was necessary and refreshing.
The plane wreck is also interesting and worth a visit.
I would only recommend the managers to keep the paths more wild to make visitors feel really part of the jungle.response / report this review -
