I normally don’t write reviews but, boy was this place great. I took a trip out to San Pedro for 6/5 and if the 6 days we ate there 5. (& we probably would have ate there the first day too if it wasn’t storming that night). Before we even went to hungry grouper 5 different people recommend it to us . So we decided we had to try. Once we tasted we were hooked! No matter what you order you can’t go wrong but I especially enjoyed the jerk shrimp, you definitely have to try for yourself! They have the best service too which is also a plus.

Great food cozy venue small, but extraordinary cuisine at Argyle's Hungry Grouper. Sorry to discover it on our last night in San Pedro, but one of our immediate favorites. Awesome blackened snapper and vegan choices including a veggie curry that you'll want more. Take care with the habanero salsa! Only 6 tables but quick personal service. Also try the rum lemonade, perfect blend of rum and not too sweet. We shall return

Delicious, spicy, love the atmosphere! The owner is funny, personable with a great smile. I told him what I love in spicy food. His menu delivered the wonderful heat but not dominating the delicious flavors! Loved my mashed potatoes, melt in your mouth lobster lemon sauce !! I know where I’m going back to when I come back again to this beautiful island 😎

Delicious little spot for some fresh seafood. Friendly service, prices a tad high, but the food was some of the best we had. They have better options than some of the other places we found.

Hands down the best place to eat in San Pedro! The food is as good as you will find anywhere in the community, the service is personal and the price point is better than other popular restaurants.

A large group of friends and I arrived to a nearly empty restaurant on a Tuesday night. The interior has a sand floor and only one waiter was available. However, he was incredibly helpful and fast, even offered to pick up the special beer my friend asked for since he already needed to run to the store, and he dug the sand down a bit to level one of the kids' chairs. The waiter was more than happy to customize our orders a bit, too; basically we'd be able to have the meat that we wanted in the sauce that we wanted. Our table ordered a lot of things to share: the coconut curry fish, an order of ribs (the last order for the night!), jerk beef and stir fry chicken. Everything was crazy delicious! We were staying near the beach, where most of the restaurants had live music. This place didn't have live music (at least on this night) and it was a nice break to be able to talk and hear each other. Would definitely return!

AMAZING food, amazing owner! Everything is fresh and well prepared. Clearly the owner loves cooking and makes sure to provide personal service to each patron. We will frequent this restaurant!

Fantastic restaurant. Owner is very friendly. Fish was all freshly caught. They will customize your meal however you want. It is a cozy restaurant, not a lot of room. That said we had no problem getting in and getting our food pretty fast. This is the best place we have eaten on Ambergris Caye.

Just ate here for the first time. It was recommended by a few of the locals I spoke to while in San Pedro. The food was delicious and the owner/chef/waiter was personable.
If you're in San Pedro be sure to make your way here instead of some of the more touristy places on the beach. Eat like a local!!!

Greg food and service. The owner is the waiter and chef it seems. They only have 5 things on the menu but he will make whatever you want. Very inexpensive and delicious.

The food is made with fresh fish caught around the island every day. The owner was very nice and talked to us about his food and style of restaurant operation. He is open nearly 24/7 to accommodate people arriving on the island at odd hours. I had shrimp with Creole sauce and it was amazing. He also took a picture of our family, I highly recommend stopping by just to see his place, it is quite interesting.
