They are really trying to bring the property up. Problem is the beach is not a nice beach for my standards ( sea grass) they can't help it, but most of Belize is that way, not great beaches. The prices are high. They are serving small portions for high prices all over ambergis Caye. I think they believe all Americans are millionaires. And they have you over a barrel, so we will not go back. But if you're going to go to ambergis Caye Captain Morgans is one of the nicer ones in the mid priced range.

We visited here for our honeymoon 2013 and we thought the resort was great! The location is perfectly situated close enough to San Pedro, where you can rent a bike and be there in 20 minutes, but far enough away to feel secluded and romantic. Also, the Belize Barrier Reef is about 200 yards off shore! There is a restaurant, grocery store, casino and three pools at the resort. We found that one could spend their whole vacation here and have no problems. All of the employees were very nice and made our stay quite enjoyable and relaxing. We plan to return!
