Excellent get away
We spent three nights in Hopkins/Buttonwood, Great staff, great rooms with all necessities (wifi, cable, A/C, stove, fridge, etc.). The rooms are very clean and well taken care of. The beach is also well maintained but during our stay the weather was unfortunately not great so we didn't spend much time tanning or swimming. A few excursions are less than an hour drive away while some can be over 2 hours away (Mayan ruins). Locals are very friendly and polite, you will be interacting with them throughout your stay. Hopkins is very, very slowly growing as a tourism spot thus, isn't fully developed or commercialized yet. A few grocery stores are a very short bike ride or walk away. Coconut Row will ensure to make your stay enjoyable and will do their best to ensure to take care of your needs or list of activities as best as they can. Note this is not a resort, but offers similar services/necessities so don't expect to be isolated and necessarily have full privacy on the beach(open to the public) etc. You will hear the daily noises of a small town (cars, trucks etc.).
Always beautiful
Clean, comfortable accommodation on the beach in the thick of Hopkins. Helpful, friendly staff
We visited Hopkins and stay 6 nights at the Buttonwood. The team (Office at Coconut Row Guesthouse) is great and very helpfull, the guesthouse is very clean and right at the beach. A nice place to stay and checkout Belize, the guys at the Office arrange all kind of tours. Hopkins is a very authentic Belize Village. You meet a lot of Locals (very friendly) and only a view Tourists and Backpacker. They living the easy life, that also means it could get a little bit louder in the neighborhood (music, laughing, dogs barking) which was always ok for us. We had a awesome stay and wish the guys from Coconut Row all the best! ✌
