Stayed there as a couple (late 40's) in March. Beachfront room was awesome; take two steps down, walk about 10-15 steps, and you're in the ocean. The resort overall was beautiful, and everybody was very nice and helpful. The infinity pool with swim-up bar was one of our favored spots to hang out at. The restaurant was outstanding, even though a little on the expensive side. Hopkins is a need little town that can easily be reached by bike, golf cart (which we preferred). The only downside of the resort was that the beach was not kept as clean (lots of washed up seaweed) as other resorts that we stay at.
now named Villa Verano, an outstanding luxury hotel in Hopkins, Belize.
We stayed here as part of a jungle and beach package through Sleeping Giant. The accommodations were nice and right on the beach. There is plenty to see and do around here if beach lounging is not your thing. The snorkeling trips are nice and there is tons to see on the reefs. You can eat at the restaurant but we found some nice places to eat right around the resort. Try Chef Robs, Love on the Rocks, Barracuda, Ines and Driftwood Pizza.
Great place! Right on the beach, beautiful resort with awesome rooms. Definitely recommend!
