Landed here to attend government conference in Gaborone. Small but modern airport. Flight was from Johannesburg. It felt like our plane was the only one landing at the time. Got off the plane and had to walk off to the main building. Modern airports have connecting walkways from the plane to the main building. While I observed it in Gaborone's airport we did not use it. Although May is beginning of the winter season here outside temperature was quite hot so 5 minute walk was interesting. Inside one fills quick immigration form and once screened by border force you get landed. Baggage area only had two sections but bags came out quickly. We stayed at Grand Palm resort so contacted hotel for complimentary shuttle. Waiting outside I did not see but private taxis and few hotel shuttles. No Uber in Gaborone.
Clean and beautiful.. Good parking 🅿 ♿ space and huge area for waiting. Some staff can be rude though (i guess its normal) but overall, its a good place.
Very impressed, clean airport with friendly people on the hard stand and in the terminal building. No cues and well marked. Easy to navigate and taxis available. Also car rentals and curio shops in the terminal building.
Great airport, recently built and queues are short at security, check ins or entering Botswana. Maybe more choice of restaurants could be good.
cosy little air port. have stopped holding my breath waiting for its completion
Could definitely have more than just one Mugg&Bean restaurant. They also need more comfortable chairs along with a sick room for sick passengers in transit to be able to rest and lie down out of the lound noise and bustle of all the other passengers.
Apart from that, it is a very clean airport and seems reasonably busy. It also has a very beautiful drive from the city through to the airport. Through a nature reserve.
It is so great to visit and behold the exotic structural engineering. The people are quite friendly
Our pride..very beautiful and clean. The touch of the elephant made with tusks of elephants that died naturally is quite a sight. It showcasts the wildlife that Botswana prides itself with. There is 30 minutes free parking for drop offs or pick- ups.The staff is friendly and helpful.
The airport is clean, neat and well organized, and I've always had a good experience there whether coming or going. No complaints at all and since it's our only reasonably way to access the rest of the globe, I'm compelled to give it 5 Stars! I mean, if you really hated it that much you could just drive to Joburg and take that airport instead :D
Neat and clean airport, not much in terms of entertainment though
nice place
This is a great small airport. It is safe and parking is not a problem. They have interesting art on display created from elephants' tusks. The elephants died naturally. What else can one say about a small airport? Not that much. It is all good.
Good . Should connect straight flights to india.
It is a good airport, and it is not busy!
Perfect but it feels elian
Comfortable if you and your flight are on time.
If you must kill time Well it's hell.
Would be better perhaps if Botswana Craft, Exclusive books, more food and gift shops set up shop
Rather ambitious project this. Not as much traffic as the size of the building would suggest. So makes for a comfortable experience. There isn't much choice in food and there is basically not wifi for travellers.
There is some relief to be had after clearing immigration at one of the two lounges. But they are small and not up to international standard.
